  1. Another update via The Chronicle: https://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/Imperial-Market-property-sold-in-foreclosure-sale-13372976.php#photo-10766466 From the article: "Geoffrey Jones, one of the developers, said the property will be conveyed back to Imperial Market Development once a construction loan is secured. A substitute trustee's deed filed with the county cites a default, however, Jones said his group has been meeting its obligations. He said the project is around 60 percent preleased, with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema as its lead tenant. Construction, which has been delayed, is expected to start at the beginning of next year."
  2. I was in the area yesterday and decided to drive through the site. They are still working, albeit very slowly. It looks like the clock tower is nearing completion and the scaffolding has been taken down on almost all sides. It's a really nice development and it looks sharp, but it certainly feels like a ghost town over there. I hadn't been to the site before, and it is a bit out of range in terms of walking to downtown, but it's cool how close it is to Saint Arnold's Brewery. I think if they can add some more amenities (retail, green space), it could be a pretty cool place to be. But who knows what the timetable is on this? Probably take years to get to that point.
  3. Yes, those height estimates are specific to only those renderings, not the final plan.
  4. I'll I can say is thank goodness. I know it's just going to become bus parking, but at least it won't be as shady driving through the area.
  5. Could this mean a potential start to the project? Or could this thing just be delayed or dead?
  6. Awesome news, especially considering the North Canal has the funding.
  7. But still no activity. I drove by the site a few days ago and saw no noticeable changes.
  8. ^ Thankfully Austin has been receiving a majority of those people.
  9. I wish they would replace the screen facing 610 with a newer LED screen. With the new paint job, it looks pretty tacky and outdated. Anyone know if that is a part of the renovation plans?
  10. I was driving through the area Saturday morning and there were several small groups of surveyors using equipment and marking points around the Sears building and several surrounding properties. Also noticed (not sure how recent this was) that the Gulf Gas Station on Richmond and the highway had been torn down, equipment still on site.
  11. Sounds like this one should be breaking ground in a month or two if that's the completion date.
  12. ^ These were the pictures from a few pages ago, not sure if they are still up to date or accurate...
  13. http://www.costar.com/News/Article/Pelican-Builders-The-Revere-Latest-High-Priced-Houston-Project-Feeding-Demand-for-Alternative-Housing/203934?ref=/News/Article/Pelican-Builders-The-Revere-Latest-High-Priced-Houston-Project-Feeding-Demand-for-Alternative-Housing/203934 I didn't realize how big some of these units were, article state condos range in size from 2,800 sqft to 3,800 sqft.
  14. Welp, looks like the renderings at the link were pulled again or the website has an error, take a look: https://skyrisecities.com/news/2018/08/district-transform-three-block-site-midtown-houston
