I was thinking possibly a dog park. I remember a year or two ago their being talk of having a dedicated dog park in Midtown since Baldwin has been turned into a unofficial dog park by the residents. I figure, although small, could be a perfect little dog park if fenced in and given a few shade trees.

I noticed a Houston Parks sign for a new park has been put up on a small piece of land at the corner of Elgin and Austin. It says Aquired 2008. I cant remember the name of the park, Elizabeth Grogan or something like that. Does anyone know whats going on there? Right now its a vacant lot with a white garage building on one side.

What is wrong with a car dealership in Midtown? I would love if I could drop my car off for warranty service just a few blocks away from the house.

I didnt take this photo, but that is the beach I was at. I thought Hana Bay was the ultimate destination, although i understood that the waterfalls, and scenic overlooks along the way were the real purpose of the journey. My wife will feel better knowing that we completed the trip! She felt bad that she asked me to turn back... and now I can wear my "I survived the road to hana" without feeling guilty!

Ollie is about to take another job. I have a feeling he isnt 100% behind this stadium deal anymore.

Hell if I know... the black sands beach was off on a side road. When we came back out, we went back the way we came instead of continuing... according to the map, Hana was still a ways off...

Thank you very much. We made it to the black sands beach, stayed there for about an hour soaking up the sun, then turned back. What did we miss?

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton up in Kapalua. Very nice resort, but I think due to its location on the Northwest side of the island and being in a bay, it is very windy there in the afternoons. Other parts of the island very close by didnt seem to have the same wind. Definitely something to think about if you are planning a return trip. We did the road to Hana... or at least 3/4 of it. My wife was getting too sick... although I loved it. We went to the volcano as well... but otherwise, just relaxed by the pool drinking and eating.

Sorry for the late response. We just got back from Maui this weekend. The Ceremony and Reception were at the Alden Hotel downtown.

Not with Comcast, but I have taken companies to small claims court over relatively small amounts of money. The cases never make it to trial. A company rep calls you before trial and asks what it takes to settle. If you are fair, they send you a check before the court date and everyone is happy. Just find a nearby justice of the peace and submit the short paperwork and processing fee. Its very easy.

you dont need a wall... you need to build structures that allow 20 feet of water underneath them. The houses in beachland or whatever its name is came out without a scratch.

Various cars broken into three times. Twice for a radar detector, and one for a cell phone. It costs more to replace the glass than the contents of what was stolen. And yes, I no longer keep the radar detector in the car when parked outside. And my fiance thinks twice about leaving things in plain site. Not sure about the death penalty, but it certainly would be nice if something could be done to catch the idiots who do this.
