  1. @hindesky you didn't provide the correct address. The parcels included on the Equilent 2402 subdivision plat are: 208 Main St 214 Main St Both parcels were owned by 214 Main Purchase LLC, an entity of Zimmerman Interests. However, a warranty deed recorded to the county clerk's database shows the properties changed hands earlier this year. Equilon Enterprises LLC and Shell Oil Products US acquired 208 Main St and 214 Main St in January. The change in ownership has yet to be reflected on HCAD's website.
  2. I think so. According to the city's Houston Map Viewer, 208 Main St and 214 Main St are in the Main Street / Market Square Historic District.
  3. The Equilent 2402 subdivision plat consists of the following parcels: 208 Main St 214 Main St
  4. Rhythm Bar is closed at 1011 McGowen St. I'm not sure then the bar closed. Moving into the space is a new bar (or maybe a club or lounge) called Parlay. I don't know if Parlay is from the same operators who ran the bar of the same name at 1901 Taft St. Based on Parlay's recent Instagram story, the bar appears to be open. https://www.instagram.com/parlay.htx
  5. @goofy the Modera Oak Forest topic should have been merged with this one. That's how it usually works and how other moderators go about doing it. However, @Highrise Tower took it upon himself to move this topic out of the Other Neighborhood forum or the Heights forum last year and into this one - Holy Places. He did the same thing last year with the topic about the downtown church transformed into the nightclub by Cle Group. He's always sneaky about it by changing his online status to hidden and making all these changes without any reason (like changing everyone's topic title even shortly after the topic is created, moving topics often to the wrong forums, and on and on.) None of the other moderators do this. Both topics were started because the churches were up for sale and likely were going to be repurposed (or in this case, demolished.) Still, for whatever reason, Highrise Tower decided on his own to move both topics to Holy Places when the discussions in those topics clearly were about redeveloping the properties or buildings.
  6. Below are photos of Hubcab Grill's former site at 1133 W 19th St. Also, @hindesky took photos of one of the adjacent parcels at 1122 W 20th St. There are plans to redevelop plans the aforementioned properties and the following parcels: 1130 W 20th St 1133 W 20th St 1138 W 20th St 1140 W 20th St 1127 W 19th St 1137 W 19th St As speculated in previous posts, the parcels are likely for a bar or restaurant. In recent photos snapped by @hindesky, there is a banner advertising the properties are available for lease. The property owners are seeking a bar and/or restaurant tenant.
  7. @hindesky wrong topic. The topic linked below is for the former Hubcap site at 1333 W 19th St and the other adjacent parcels. None of the photos you took show the property at 1140 W 20th St. https://www.houstonarchitecture.com/topic/23997-hubcap-grill-beer-burger-garden-coming-to-the-heights/

  14. My apologies. I'm still awaiting a response from Darwin's Pub. I messaged the bar and asked if it is closing to make way for Nadine's.
  15. Yesterday, Lustre Pearl announced it is opening for a sneak peek this weekend in an Instagram story. The bar is located in the East Village development at 2106 Dallas St, Suite 100.
  16. Sophie shared a little more details about what to expect when it makes its debut this spring. In an Instagram post yesterday, the bar posted the following caption: Renowned French artist, Philippine de Richemont, boasts a diverse painterly range from bold & colorful to powerful monochromes. She draws inspiration from the constant movement of our world. Her work, deeply influenced by comedy, ballet, & dance, will grace the walls of Sophie Cocktail Bar & Terrace, offering a captivating journey from life to abstraction. https://www.instagram.com/p/C4TYJpPMVbI Sophie is a new cocktail bar opening soon in Montrose Collective. 20. An Instagram account for My Old House Cafe was created two years ago. I think it's for the business slated for 540 Frasier St. https://www.instagram.com/myoldhousecafe
  21. @springcityparts The Google Maps listing for My Old House Cafe isn't new. It's been there for two years.
  22. Cullen Middle School is not located in Third Ward or South Park. I'm not sure of the actual neighborhood it's located in, but this is more so in the South Union vicinity. I think the school is located in either the Lasalette Place or Foster Place neighborhood.
  23. Nickel City soft opens Friday, according to an article CultureMap published today. The bar is locaed at 2910 McKinney St, Suite 500. https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/nickel-city-bar-east-end/
  24. There is some misinformation floating about that Chatter's not closing or going out of business. To be clear, it is closing for good. It is not relocating and it is not rebranding. The owners of Chatter's own the 140 S Heights property. They also own the parcels at 140 Heights Blvd (parcels behind 140 S Heights), 33 Waugh, and 27 Waugh (where Darwin's Pub is situated.) Verdegreens is leasing the restaurant space where Chatter's closing. That space will become Farmstand. The restaurant is not affiliated with Chatter's. The only connections to Chatter's Farmstand have are they occupy/occupied the same space at 140 S Heights Blvd and the property is owned by a co-owner of Chatter's. I'm still unclear where Verdegreens' bar concept Nadine's will go. I know it's will be located behind Farmstand but not sure where. I reached out to Verdegreens, Chatter's, and Darwin's Pub for specifics pertaining to Nadine's exact location, but have not received a response.

The Mexican eatery is located in Regent Square. It's a dining concept from Dallas-based restaurant group Front Burner Society.
