  1. They kept it. Lousy business sense, I think.
  2. The Skyline was shut down and has been turned into some sort of conference room. VERY disappointed.
  3. Does this mean we can shut down this thread before a rightie and leftie civil war breaks out? If it comes to war, I will be with other (I)'s drinking a beer watching y'alls blood pressure increase.
  4. Of course, now I'm curious as to what would have made you do 96 in a minivan in kansas of all places. I have visions of you in a tricked out VW trailing smoke for some reason.
  5. Well, I hope it didn't cause any damage, that would definitely be a pane to fix.
  6. It could be possible that the art was changed with a different printing run.
  7. Surprising that you're calling me a lib considering I'm a conservative. Nice leap to the racial thing that limbaugh said considering that wasn't part of the conversation, nor did I even look it up on wiki quotes. It wasn't I "heard" its what was REPORTED on a news station. I can't cite it worth a damn and admit to that, but if you can prove that its a fake quote, then by all means.
  8. Sorry, but I heard it from one of the local news channels a number of years ago, so if you call it fake, go ahead. Burn in hell, Delay.
  9. Impressive! I wonder how long it will take for the for system to pay for itself.
  10. See, now you're bordering on something called a "cult of personality" where you are willing to blindly follow a leader's point of view without questioning and THAT is a dangerous thing onto itself. I don't want a leader that the world loves, I want a leader everyone RESPECTS. From the various news sources around the world, not every leader thinks highly of our president. I don't like Foxnews delivers its news, but the substance behind it should be considered.
  11. It will eventually get there, and as it has been discussed on other threads, there has to be a way to go FROM downtown. Not the entire population of SL works exclusively at TMC or DT. Tom Delay was willing to fund light rail if it served SL (his district), but when metro declined and showed him his plans, he retaliated. If he would have helped the city properly, you might have gotten a better way into the city in only a couple of years.
  12. Well, considering they already have a person of interest, odds its a domestic. Once again, someone who knew thier killer.
  13. It could be that they are scared there might be a national shortage of beer and hot wings.
  14. Hannity got on my nerves by claiming HE is always right. Listened to him for all of 2 months, then went to savage. I always hoped he'd have an on-air aneurysm
  15. I think I found it: http://www.amazon.com/Ayes-Texas-Daniel-Da-Cruz/dp/0345332822/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1256114001&sr=8-3-catcorr
  16. Really? I'm sure she's a nice person, but she sets my teeth on edge at times, but I have to admit, she has improved quite a bit over the years.
  17. Hardly, it's because he doesn't take himself as seriously than others. He never claims to be a journalist, but commentator/entertainer, but I don't always agree with his viewpoints. The skits on his shows are hysterical at times. Like a typical HAIFer, we get distracted by shiny objects. 'scuze me, I need to pick up a penny.
  18. I would love to see the wind studies and see what designs they incorporated into it. If they don't I would imagine that lunch would be rather exciting on a windy day.
  19. Looks like they are now trying to appeal the initial permit denial for the original plan. Seems to me they are taking a major gamble on an all or nothing deal. While I wish them the best, I hope it doesn't backfire on them. That would so suck.
  20. He also had a drinking problem and abused drugs. He has been very open about it, and admits when he missed the mark on a prediction or opinion. Not to mention he downplays his importance and refers to himself as a "rodeo clown" of the talk show personalities. You don't see Hannity, Limbaugh, or Randy Rhodes copping to their own shortcomings.
  21. The failure is the Education system not teaching proper history or critical thinking to properly debate the various issues to begin with.
  22. I love her! She dishes out crap right back to Don. That and she strikes me that she can be a dirty bird off the air.
  23. For as long as I can remember, there has always been an attack on the sitting president by the rival party in both the press and politicians. The main difference from the past is the "competition" of additional news outlets and the availability of information on the web (both reliable and not). Let's not forget all those "talk panels" that have sprung up like mushrooms, few if any, are nuetral in any definition of the word. Our responsibilities as consumers of news is to set aside our own personal political bias and look at the news, whatever its source, and digest it accordingly. If we fail to do so, then our political system as a whole may not survive the petty name calling and finger pointing that has been growing over the past few years. Disclosure: Did not vote for Obama, but support SOME of his policies, and watch several network and cable based news shows and a couple of talking panels.
  24. But certainly a hot one! She referenced her pregnancy a time or two during related news segments. I just wish they'd tell Gina Gaston to do something about her eyebrows. From certain camera shots, she looks paticularly intrigued by a story.
  25. Can I get more frequent flier miles that way?
