  1. I'm liking this post solely because I lile certain mollusks ... on my plate! :-)
  2. I believe it's been called that since the mid 80's.
  3. Looks nice! It's funny though ... the name translates in Spanish to "we have a place"... :-)
  4. Looks good, thanks for the update. I must protest the location. Reminds me of the anadarko tower.
  5. It's not the first time this has happened.... some years ago they have a big party to celebrate its groundbreaking... the VERY next day workers were busy taking down all the banners, "Coming soon" signs, etc... The whole thing was cancelled.
  6. I wonder what percentage of metro Houstonians will ever visit this place... if it ever gets off the ground. If one were to draw a circle of radius 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 - 25+ miles with this thing in the center... how would the visitor's numbers plot against their home addresses... What would the distribution curve look like?
  7. Why would they do that? Is the station moving there? I thought that part of town was "up-and-coming"?
  8. Well, religion and education rarely go hand in hand.
  9. Nothing so far. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this one.
  10. Awesome news! I usually go here on the weekends. Hopefully they'll sign a decent watch authorized dealer.
  11. What's he like? Does he seem to be an effective leader? What has he been doing since losing in 98?
  12. All the essentials (liquor, cigarettes, beer) will not take up too much space. I imagine most customers will be residents.
  13. Also, it's impossible to believe that they could not obtain a real picture and carefully chop their building onto it.
  14. I think you're several years too late. Afaik this hasn't been a school holiday for some time now.
  15. Relax. I was being facetious. Mostly. The point I was attempting to make is that those in/from the outer reaches of a metro area tend to know lesd about inner city issues, planning, etc.
  16. Perhaps it is unfortunate that half of the public are dumber than the average American. And around here, half of them are from places that start with "wood" or end with "land" or contain the words "master planned". Some even think the Galleria is downtown.
