Note: This shopping center gets packed on Saturdays, it's very hard to find a parking spot. You either have to wait for someone to leave or hope you can find one a long walk away from where you are headed but even those are hard to find since it has so many different buildings.

I could see a large AT crane off in the distance from downtown and I was racking my mind as to what it could possibly be lifting. The building trapped the portable tower crane and it had no way to get out. Crane Master Inc. showed up to remove it. I asked one of the workers when the Charles and the smaller building would be finished, he said probably in about 3 months.

When I was working at a shipyard early one winter morning right before work started a very strong cold front moved in. It had extremely strong winds associated with it and broke the moorings line to a car carrier ship. First the bow lines broke and the wind swung the ship around until the aft mooring lines broke. 2 tugs and a small push boat rushed to pin it against the dry dock at Newpark Shipbuilding. If those tugs hadn't been close by I thought it was going to hit the bridge beams on the south bank. They jut out at about a 40 degree angle over the water to support the bridge.

Hardwood Bargains moved down a couple doors so Pacific Coast Tacos could take over their old location. The Wescott St. location of Pacific Coast seems to do well, every time I go by there are a lot of cars. The building behind this shopping center is gone.
