Catalyst: Multifamily High-Rise At 1475 Texas Ave.
hindesky replied to TowerSpotter's topic in Downtown
I still can't see the second tower crane base, the fact that the one crane is right in the middle of the block makes it seem there may only be one. It's possible the second one may be on the east side where the garage/low rise section will be.- 911 replies

Why would the new concert pavilion be built if not for something like FPSF? They could alternate set times between the two stages on it and do away with some of the congestion created by the stages on the Allen Parkway. Close off half of Sabine St so the people living at the lofts could get in and out. Continue to move east toward Sam Houston Park and Bagby St. like they did last year and for the NYE concert they did in 2013.

They make cowboy hat shaped hard hats, many refinery/chem plants don't allow them, including where I work. The photo is too grainy to see if the guy was wearing that though.

I live 1.5 miles from Tinsley Park and have gone to all 7 FPSF. I ride my bicycle to the event at Tinsley as it's the easiest to access and exit the event. I was about to sell my tickets this year with the move but decided to help support our local hometown promoters and all they have done for the local music scene. I was expecting the worst and was surprised how well it turned out. I took the light rail both days and it was packed to the gills with other fest goers. But I hope they move back to the Tinsley park next year. They will have access to the new concert pavilion over the cistern next year and it should help but they need to stop using Allen Parkway for some of the smaller stages as it makes the already narrow road too congested.
