  1. Crew is finished installing the sewer/stormwater connection.
  2. It belongs to Texas Petroleum Group Llc. which go by the name Timewise and has 240 stores so I doubt any one single owner owns this. https://www.texaspetroleumgroup.com
  3. All the opposition to this was the fact that Sharpton had several conversations on local web sites and the Chronicle stating he wanted to have several short term rentals at this location and others. He attended the meeting and said these would be two houses that could be short term rentals or long term rentals. People are worried that these will become party houses that will create noise, parking problems and possible crime. The planning commission is obligated to pass the new plats but wanted Mr. Sharpton to get with the neighbors to assuage their concerns. The planning commission has no powers to not approve them simply based on the fact that they could be used for short term rentals.

  6. "Houston-based real estate firm, Puma Development, is partnering with the city of Sugar Land to repurpose the char house and the surrounding complex of former sugar silos and old warehouses. Puma not only wants to restore the historic structures, but to bring them into the future with a proposed 40-acre mixed-use development that could eventually encompass some $1 billion in investments over the next 7 to 10 years. The development may include 660 apartments and homes, 150,000 square feet of retail and 300,000 square feet of office at full build out." https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/real-estate/article/imperial-sugar-char-house-sugar-land-puma-develop-17852302.php
  7. Painting the outside. Taggers have been hitting this building pretty bad.
  8. Contractors have been placing these curbs at the intersections of Taft and Westheimer and on Woodhead St. at W. Gray St. I could see the metal frames for more all along Woodhead at the intersections. They remind me of the type of shared bike path on La Branch St and Austin St in the Museum District.
  9. An electrical contractor is removing the power lines and poles that run through the middle of the property.
