After the Astrodome, Magic Island may be Houston’s second-most famous abandoned entertainment venue. The club, shuttered for 10 years, will finally reopen this summer. Many Houstonians will be happy that stage magic is returning. And the club plans to offer private gambling tables this time around. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/lifestyle/article/magic-island-gambling-houston-18976178.php

There are 3 of these Equilent's proposed around Houston. This one, one downtown and one on Tuam St. in Midtown. Someone mentioned that Shell is getting in to the EV charging business and it could possibly be that. All 3 are before the Planning Commission but they are all "Consent" plats which rarely get brought up to talk about unless a Commissioner tags it or someone in the public makes a questions or comments about it at the meeting this Thursday.

The kids are going to love this new Commons area. So many new additions, dragonfly, frog, snake, rocket and capsule, climbing structures, slides galore and I think a water feature of some type, possibly a misting tree or fountains from the floor?

Shriners Hospital For Children At 6977 Main St.
hindesky replied to Highrise Tower's topic in Texas Medical Center
Noticed the construction netting surrounding the entire building. I wonder if it's going to be totally demolished or just an interior demolish. JTB Demolition is on site, they have the capability to do a high rise demolition, they recently did the old Sid Richardson demo. https://www.jtbservices.com- 31 replies
