  1. Of course, they just HAD to say this: "An old sign near the outfield spells out the stakes: "Ballplayers do not retrieve balls hit into yards without the residents' permission. Violators can be arrested for trespassing on private property." Or worse. "Why don't we enter the yards, Jackie?" a neighbor, Robert Duffield, asked his wife, eliciting her well-primed answer: "Because," she said, "this is Texas and you might get shot."" Typical NYT material
  2. If you want to push your distance a tad, you might want to try Greatwood, River Park, New Territory, River Park West, or, stick around for a TAD longer, and wait for Telfair to start selling (the builders will be announced soon, and prices are not final yet).
  3. Has anyone tagged those billboards yet? Or is Houston not "Big enough of a city"?
  4. Now, hold on a sec; will it be a Super Target, or a regular Target?
  5. You know, one day, you yourself might become the victim of tagging. And we'll all expect you to just smile and sigh, and say.."ahh, yes...this is a big city". >
  6. Yeah, and in order to complete the "big city feel", all we need now is for people to urinate in the MetroRail stops.
  7. How about "The Landgrab Parkway"?
  8. Don't forget in Sugar Land, right off of 59, and 6.
  9. Ok, I'm making this request for Citykid: Mix the supposed urbanity of Atlanta with Houston.
  10. Yeah, sketchup is pretty neat. I prefer Gmax, though.
  11. Cool. I like the second one(the interior is a tad too dated for me, though, but, I really like the deck), and I really dig the last one(which has a very simple and contemporary interior, and a neat courtyard).
  12. I bet Atlanta will get one of these before Houston will! /citykid09
  13. Might as well make a tollbooth style Sbux over 59, just after Williams Trace....
  14. We should prolly expect one, in the new Lake Pointe development.
  15. Next time you visit ATL, please buy a one way ticket, and stay there.
  16. They have one in my area. I should check it out, then!
  17. Yes! Please come and water my garden!
  18. We already have an HEB on 59/99, as well as 6/Austin Parkway. maybe if Whole Foods will not come to Lake Pointe, the anchor shall be a Central market instead. However, the existing HEBs already offer a hybrid HEB/Central market product line...
  19. Eww..most of thes are EIFS clad crap...Some are nice, though. Thanks for the pics.
  20. Not if everyone is going to walk to and from everything! After all, this is an "urban" project! /semi sarcasm
  21. Just a little animation I put together, with pics from the Chron site:
