  1. T&C Village is essentially just like any other shopping center with nicer looking buildings. Still, it isnt bad, and I prefer it over Uptown park.
  2. YES! Oh, and the original had a plan for only 220 residential units. the new one may have SEVERAL HUNDRED units. Could it be..the new one is better than the old proposal? GO WULFE!
  3. Hmm...could the former Enron building become the new Burger King HQ?
  4. Its true. Most of the TMC buildings of the past were and are vastly bland. The newer ones, though, make some effort to stand out a bit. The new MD Andersen Ambulatory Center is nice, and conservative in design, but it does have some nice postmodern detailing to it. This sure beats the boxes that frequent most parts of the TMC. There are also a few other standouts in the TMC, and a few more are under construction (the A&M Building, etc). Oh, and if anyone saw the news report on CH11 a few weeks back, they said that the portion of the TMC down to OST near Smithlands could be built out by 2020. They may have to expand towards the loop, they said...
  5. BUT..once again: the people who are responsible for developing this project just closed on the land!
  6. No, NOT 500 a month. This is being converted from rental to purchase condo units. Besides, 500 a month is CHEAP! Now...at 500 per sq ft, a 1200 sq ft 2/2 would be...600,000!
  7. Hmm..it is semi old, (it says prposed stadium, and expansion of the GRB) but the developers were looking at the tracts for a long time, I beleive. if they indeed pushed forward with the land, then, I hope and think this is it! Perhaps someone could email them qith an inquiry about the pavilions...
  8. Thanks for the article! I just love this building! I really hope we see more stuff like this in the TMC!
  9. Ahh, right. I read about it a loong time ago. ANYWAY..hopefully we hear more aout this project soon!
  10. AHH, right! Main@POLK! In fact, they changed part of "polk" to "Avenida de Americas" to avoid such an issue!
  11. W00T! W at the galleria! maybe they should call it "W002" or the 002, or something Now..when is Hou getting a Ritz Carlton?
  12. YAY! i hope they get this thing started!(the mixed use) Main@Dallas is great, since Dallas St leads up to the Convention center and such. Once the CC park is built, that area could have a nice boom of more mixed use! This spark could just be close enough to that area to ignite east DT development!
  13. Cool. Im glad they are building this instead of a mall. Malls are soo out these days.
  14. I found this when I was looking on Wulfe's website: Lofts with retail at the base! Location: Travis and St Joseph Pkwy Notes: Natural retail location. I-45 visibility; one block from Main Street Light Rail Stop; located between Downtown and Texas Medical Center. Across the street from new Metro Intermodal Transit Station. 220 residential units in project. Ideal Users: Health Club; Bookstore, restaurants.
  15. I know what you are talking about. it is the former Tang City Asian Mall. Hakeem Olajuwon owns the thing, and has owned it for years. he was going to turn it into an Islamic school, but he has not done any work, and thus, has been cited for many violations.
  16. Hmm..As long as they add a bit more variety than the current Uptown offerings. Sure, those Interfin buildings nearby are nicely done, but a slightly more diverse style is needed. Now..could this be the location of the Turnberry tower? (42 stories)
