  1. Caydon may have been onto something with their renderings. I came across this image in an MRA survey. They are pushing to make Main Street a greenway through Midtown, removing all automobile traffic.
  2. According to the 2/22/2018 minutes of the MRA board meeting, there is a possible 3 month delay on the project due to " the need to brace or replace utility poles which are not aligned with underground utilities." They stated that they wanted to look into redesign to avoid the delay. Perhaps this is why they were re-surveying?
  3. This appears to be the same group behind https://www.headquartershtx.com/
  4. Also of note is the construction schedule shown: 05/01/2018 to 05/01/2020
  5. I hope I'm wrong, but that looks like interior demo for a re-purposing of the existing buildings. I don't think they would worry about removing interior debris if they were going to raze the structure.
  6. Looks like the park is getting good use. This event was held there recently. Le Diner en Blanc:
  7. It was definitely in this section of Midtown. I can't think of anything else in the area it would be
  8. There was a massive mobile crane in this general area on Monday or Tuesday. I walked by this site on Wednesday and didn't see any obvious signs of why they would need it. Also, I believe the tower crane at the Camden complex was removed some time ago. Anyone have info or ideas?
  9. Does anyone have recent photos of the site? I stopped by this lot after checking out the now-open Midtown Park. It appears there is a gravel drive for heavy trucks (looks like it's been there a while), but next to it is what appeared to be a freshly unloaded pile of sand. This is the first change I've seen in months.
  10. The development in East Midtown continues. http://swamplot.com/the-pierce-elevateds-great-uncrossing/2017-10-06/ http://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/Boxer-Property-wants-Midtown-building-ready-for-12256877.php#photo-14295302
  11. Did they agree to give HAIF final design approval as part of the rendering removal negotiations????

  13. You have to remember that there's nothing but dirt and asphalt under there; no concrete. A couple over-sized trucks could do more damage than the extra cost of the sign.
  14. Saving up for this, perhaps? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medina_Azahara
  15. Building is gone. Appears the foundation was spared. Maybe this will be parking for now?
  16. This is why we can't have nice things... http://www.houstonpress.com/news/man-spills-two-pounds-of-mercury-after-storing-it-in-crown-royal-bottle-9700678
  17. I was looking through old MRA/MMD documents and came across this in the June 29th MRA minutes. I'm wondering if the half acre park is in reference to Midtown Park or if they will use their other land as a park until it's ready for development. The Sky Bar sounds cool, but I think we've heard of several others currently in the works. Keep in mind this is almost two months old.
  18. Caroline redevelopment project is starting! What a great time for the east side of Midtown. Project thread here:
  19. Contractor trailers are in place in the lot across from Weight & Measures. I talked to one of the workers and he said this project will kick off in the next month or so. Work will start on the HCC end of Caroline and progress toward Pierce.
