    I love WinCo! I know them from the Northwest - didn't realize they expanded beyond their namesake states. How about a WinCoT on a couple of the adjoining surface lots left on the south side of downtown?

    The lot was being cleared of trees this morning. This is Austin, Pease, Caroline and Jefferson to save some digging.

    The midtown superblock is fenced off, freshly staked, and cleared of the existing building with the midtown mural. Sorry if this was posted elsewhere, I couldn't find it.

    The city endorsed bike-to-work-month events in May are being planned to detour around that section. It does suck, because it would be nice to showcase the lane more.

    I'm assuming the mattress store is just renting in the existing building? No strong objections here; one less vacancy and the lease will be equal or shorter to those of spec's and half price so it won't stop the inevitable redevelopment when those run out.

    This project is definitely slow, but the footprint is roughly 4x that of skyhouse. So maybe not quite as slow as it seems in that comparison.

    Not sure how long it's been there, but there is a second crane base on the far south side of the site, about 5 feet from Natachee's.

    A trailer stacked with construction fencing was parked in the middle of this site this morning.

    A crew was bringing loads of drywall into the ticket office today and several new walls are studded up inside. I guess they're going to prelease from there for awhile before tearing it down, or maybe I'm mistaken about the location of the tower on this lot

    From Saturday. Parking platform is done and they're bricking in the elevator shafts.

    I can see a new crane just southwest of the first one. Is that a second one for this project or something else entirely? It seems too close to be one of the Pearls.

    This type of thinking from one poster will result in the kind of forum that has a variety of opinions, none of which will be forced on anyone. I can appreciate a post that offers some perspective to the micro analysis. I also appreciate it when posts have some entertainment value. Ergo, I clicked the like button.     I second this question! I see plenty of residential and retail activity when I walk past here every night, but only of the kind that discourages new investment in the area.

    Dang window washers knocked out the construction camera at noon. If anyone is wondering what the roof of Chase tower looks like, now's your chance.

    The site was being scraped this morning. Ensemble theatre really took care of that grass up to the end.
