  1. This is just the first high rise to go up. That land is to valuable to continue to be a one story shopping center. Before its over the entire center will be multi-level.
  2. Wow you can really see how big the old post office site is from this photo.
  3. Where the construction is taking place now the trees where cleared long before McCord purchased the land. So basically they started with a empty field. I have lived in the area about 17 years. When I moved to the area the previous owner was going to build a neighborhood on the land called Summer Creek. McCord has has planted hundreds of live oaks and other plants along the newly constructed portions of WestLake Houston Parkway and Lockwood Rd. as well as around the man made lake they created. The thousands of pine trees they planted on their property on the other side of the beltway are still standing. I'm sure once they complete construction on the buildings they are working on now, they will plant trees around them.
  4. My question is why are they renovating the interior of the mall instead of tearing it completely down ?
  5. If they could actually ever get this thing built I doubt they would have a difficult time leasing out the retail and landing the tenants they listed.
  6. I'm surprised Metronational didn't purchase this property to expand their mixed use development across Bunker Hill. I think ther they already own the long vacant Toys-R-Us property next door.
  7. As much as I would like the TMC3 Campus to come to fruition it is still very much so just a concept. The TMC does not have funding for the development and UT or any of the other institutions have signed on for the campus.

  9. People keep on bringing up TMC and TMC3, this project is not only limited to medical that is probably why they are not concerned with being closer to TMC or a part of TMC3
  10. What I get from this statement is that they are going to repurpose the existing buildings.
  11. I think it looks great. these developers just can't win with some people. When developers use stucco people complain about it and say they should have used brick. Then when they use brick people find a way to complain about the brick.
  12. Houston needs a real Aquarium like the one in Atlanta.

  14. Why so much interest in 609 & Capital Tower but no interest in 6 Houston Center? Are 609 and Capital superior buildings? Are they being marketed better? I'm just curious because it has been proposed so much longer.
