Get off the pot if your not going to This should have been the first building to go up during the current boom. They have been planning this building for idk how many years and it still hasn't gone up. Just like last time they have sat on thier behinds and missed another opportunity to get this building built. I just don't understand why they continue to go thru the process of announcing a groud breaking releasing renderings and the whole deal to not build it.

BP has been planning to downsize for quite some time now, before the price of oil decreased. They are creating a new US on shore company and thats the cause of the downsizing. When restructing takes place there are always some job cuts. Nothing out of the ordinary. This was going to happen regardless. Also they are cutting some jobs in Alaska. no job cuts have been announced in Houston.

Why is this 5 story building taking so long? It seems like it has been under construction forever. Hasn't it been like 10 months and this is as far along as they are. . .

That building looks so high end !!! I really hope they move forward with the other high rise they had planned for BLVD place. -
That's the property where the Memorial Herman tower and the Westin hotel are located. Directly west of the mall. Already pretty built out.

So wait . . . Now this downtown Bloomingdale's anchored shopping district that you have been telling us is going to happen isn't going to happen because now the city of Houston doesn't want them ? If that's the case then why was the idea entertained at all? Also I thought the Ritz was going to be by Discovery park ? Now it was going in the old Sakowitz building ? Just doesn't add up seems like back pedaling. We have Nieman Marcus, we have Saks. . . What other department store is better then Bloomingdales? Especially for downtown Houston. -
