Hotel Granduca Houston At 1080 Uptown Park Blvd.
YakuzaIce replied to Subdude's topic in Uptown and Galleria Area
I think this is under construction. Perhaps someone could get closer and actually check it out. I saw it while I was getting some construction pics of seven riverway (post in a few days). I may try and check the site again. BTW what I saw appeared to already be around two stories. Is there something else in that area, behind uptown park between montebello and ville d'este/ -

I am guessing you are talking about the one by turnberry. Here is the thread. But I haven't heard anyomore news on it. Though I hope it happens.

The Valencia Condominiums At 1711 Old Spanish Trl.

At first I thought you were saying you owned the parking lot. What percentage of land would be available if they put a garage and used the rest for development?- 11 replies

I agree with that. Also the ones in the current office building will probably have higher ceilings as office floor to ceiling ratios tend to be high. Also looking at the rendering the new four story building is much shorter in terms of each floors height. So like you said those may be the cheaper units.

Ok thanks for the article, I'll read it in a sec.

Most likely, I know they use it for some of the playoff games. But I think it would be too costly to be only for high school. I think HISD could use it along side another group though.

The only real downer here was semipro. Saying we will be like Detroit, and will need casinos for revenue. Does anyone have anymore info about what Midtowncoog said? About St. Joseph's.

I didn't know that, but it makes sense, and yeah I saw it around 12:15 AM.

Yeah as someone said the hands are back up. But regarding lights on buildings I noticed tonight that the beacon on the Transco wasn't on. Do they turn it off late at night or is it under repair?

Hmm that is kind of surprising considering it has been proposed for over a year I believe. Maybe they haven't started yet considering they changed the design and I believe made it taller (I think it was originally 24 stories, now around 30).

So does anyone know the feasability of this? I was thinking the same thing that those would be some great views. Or perhaps the bottom half left office with the upper residential.- 166 replies

I am guessing you are talking about the Monaco? I believe that is what they are doing. I am not sure if they will end up going through with it, but I believe the original incantation was scrapped for something that was slightly lower priced. Which I believe also included a tower redesign (sadly).

OK I found the '05 so disregard the below list unless you want to compare.
