  1. Which are you talking about? If it is the kirby tower there is a plethora of info in this thread. If it is the W I think it is at least halfway completed.
  2. Here are the blocks zoomed in, and out. The streets are listed in the first rendering. And could you maybe take the pics out of your quote so it makes the thread smaller and less to load. EDIT: for you Google earth users it looks like they have newer (not new) views for downtown. They are also higher res. You can see the color difference in the surrounding areas. They are also not winter so all the parks look soooo much better.
  3. It is a development that will combine office, residential, and hotel (possibly). It will comprise three blocks that stretch linearly from Main. It also combines ground floor retail.
  4. Their site has been up for some time, but those renderings are not on it. And citykid you have begun to be as much a downer as semipro.
  5. Wow those renderings look great. What is the tall building in the back? Residential or Office? I actually kind of like the signage too. I am glad to see it is not completely inwardly focused. As some people were saying there would be lading docks facing the street earlier. Just wondering where did you get these?
  6. Good news, and be sure to keep us in the know. Since you are buying onedo you have any more info that hasn't been made public yet? I don't think I have heard any news on how the presale of units was going. It would be nice if it all went up at once.
  7. Well just to revive this thread, and since I had already done it for another forum. I present to you the 2727 Kirby night rendering.
  8. A good thing to compare it to would be the Huntington. Around the same height and I believe it also does not interact with the street. The one question is though would the people in this expensive isolated high rise want to live Downtown? If yes then I would much rather have something urban built in Downtown. If they could bring it up to the street I would be okay with it in Uptown, though I would still want something else downtown. But that is the problem people who buy here probably would not want the urban realities of DT. Maybe in a few years as downtown becomes more desirable, but probably not yet.
  9. Then why are there 5 buildings under construction in uptown, not to mention the med center. Downtown is the only one in a drought as far as projects go.
  10. Fine http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread...?threadid=83899 I just left the part that concerned Houston.
  11. So it looks like ours will open a little before dallas's. Am I allowed to put this article? Its not the chron. Oh well. Bice's Ristorante Gets Trophy Opening With 10-Year Deal By Connie Gore Last updated: August 9, 2005 12:52pm "Click says the Ruggeris will open a Bice's in Houston about a month before doors swing open at the Crescent."
  12. Well there used to be a Walmart next to Sharpstown. Now it is a school for kids who got kicked out of regular schools. Frankly I prefer what is currently there.
  13. Didn't Kirzania (sp?) live at 2016 Main, might try and PM her.
  14. Was there a thread about one of these opening in Houston a long time ago. I seem to remember many people responding about its "questionable" name. But maybe it was something with a similar name as there are no locations in Houston.
  15. LOL Just wondering Dominax, have you ever been to Houston? Some of your posts seem to say no.
  16. What is up with you and the chase tower. -It is kind of plain, but when you get up close you can see texture in the stones. -Its a pentagon -Do you mean regal? or regional? -or???
  17. Thinking about it my post may have been a little off the mark. I wouldn't say you are reading to much into it, they just are not making them cheap. Maybe the market was there for the high end, but they felt it would be a safer bet with cheaper units. Perhaps profits were also higher. Has anyone else been getting any emails from them? (I haven't gotten any response yet) The things I am wondering about is how many units will be in the new tower, will the tower change height, and will the design change.
  18. It is a rehab? I thought it would be new construction. I put a rendering in the Houston rundown thread. I didn't realize there was already a thread.
  19. It seems as if demand was so high they just wanted to try and add more to get more bang for the buck, while making them slightly cheaper. I don't think these are going to be for the average joe.
  20. Am I the only one who can't see the first two pics???
