eL O
Spring days will not be the same again in Houston. Guess we'll just have to ask those involved in the creation of Winlow Westheimer to create another one for us. This should be interesting...anyone know who designed Winlow? segovia
Shop had good coffee, great for reading a book/studying and enjoying the early Fall weather. It was also a stroll away from Paulie's and the Westheimer antique shops.
Subdude
It was such a classy place. Free wifi, free coffee refill, art by local artists, and usually classical music. Best of all they didn't have that Starbucks attitude of constantly trying to sell you additional food and CDs.

infinite_jim
Amazing how my own opinions of these public spaces has changed so much over the course of a couple years. I was at the Firkin&Phoenix on Saturday night. It is a shame to see that open faced court-yard as now a placeholder of lost vitality. A dehumanized space, now left in the dark. Idylweird
What is this Firkin&Phoenix you speak of?Disneyfied facsimile of an English pub from a Canadian chain. Avoid.
