Montrose1100
Wonderfull pictures, Montrose.Thanks. What kind of camera are you using? Kodak Easy Share DX7630 (6.1 mega pixels). I'm sure one could produce "top drawer" pictures with it, but I still don't know how to work it properly. And my hand shakes when I hold still for too long... I think I need a tri-pod. and I use a 1.0 gib. chip.
TxDave
I have not been back to Houston recently, but your pics show me a lot of the things I would like to see. In fact, these are many of the shots I would like to take myself, when I return to visit.Thank you for showing me so much of Houston that I want to see now. Jeebus
my hand shakes when I hold still for too long... I think I need a tri-pod.Try a mono-pod. It's basically a stick with a camera mount on the end. Its easier to travel and take photographs on the go with. This is the one I would recommend: Bogen Manfrotto Monopod Edited March 27, 2006 by Jeebus

Is there a base pad accessory so it can stand alone on hard surfaces? I have the same problem montrose has-I can't hold it steady on my own for very long. Thanks. Montrose1100
thank you all for the compliments... But skyechas, how did they comfort you?
skyechas
Having seen many great cities, I wasn't impressed with Houston when I moved (for a job). I once read a description of the city as the biggest smalltown in the US (by locals) and I thought that was fairly accurate. Since I plan to stay for awhile, I wanted reassurance that Houston is more than that. I thought there must be SOMETHING in here. And I guess the photos in this forum provided a lot of those things. You and all the photo contributors here revealed the hidden beauty of the city and I'm starting to warm up to it. I'm still exploring. Thanks again.
