JClark54
Crews were removing machines, tools, and other items from the machine shop at 3608 Polk last week. Also onsite was a backhoe, which demolished one of the lean-to sheds. A new wood fence was constructed on the back half of the property.

I wonder if the property owner will try or has tried acquiring the four parcels sandwiched between? If so, I could so that eventually becoming a big multifamily residence, townhomes, or some sort of mixed-use.

sapo2367
What are the consequences of doing a demo/renovation without a permit? You can't put the building back the way it was. Do you just get a fine etc?

I thought it was basically paying double the permit in some situations.
JClark54
Earlier today, CoH cited the owner of this development for unpermitted work. This is at least the fourth instance of which I'm aware. The third citation is next to today's and the first two are still present on the side of the building now behind a chain link fence.

Texasota
do you... do you think inspectors are necessarily the same people reviewing and stamping permits? You know that inspections *also* have to occur for projects to move forward (and have independent utility anyway)... right?
