Lol...I think you would need to ask President Obama about Crimea.  The Syrian bases were abandoned by us before the Russians took them over.  Neither one was sovereign US territory.

In neither case was it a invasion of sovereign US territory so to liken it to an invasion of Alaska and assume we would do nothing is a absurd stretch.  Thanks for providing one more example of how Trump Derangement Syndrome can fog one's thinking.

 

As for threats to the Constitution, the constant witch hunt that has been going on since before Trump was elected should worry us all the most.  We have one party that has doing it's upmost to overturn an election that did not go in their favor.  If they ever figure out how to do that, it's a recipe for a one party state.  If you don't like Trump, cool, vote him out in November.  But don't think that trying to overturn an election because you don't like the result is protecting the Constitution.  It's just opening the door for some Caesar to declare himself President for life.

DNC won't get away with it this time.  This time, the Bernie camp knows it is coming and is prepared.  The Bernie team knew that the Iowa caucus was going to be a cluster and had monitors in place at every location.  When the app crashed, the Bernie team released their internal results to let the DNC know that they weren't going to be able to get away with anything.  The DNC obviously tried to fire back by sending out the results in a way that would grab Pete the Rat a headline to keep him from being totally embarrassed over his "victorious" line.  But Bernie won.  

 

Now, Bernie has a huge advantage on the ground in NH as Pete the Rat put all his chips on Iowa and has very little presence in NH.  The big question will be whether Warren will be the tool for the establishment or give in and throw her support to Bernie in exchange for a VP nod or cabinet position.  I think it will become clear that the current DNC leadership's days are numbered and everyone will gradually start lining up to be on team Bernie.

O.K. just to take it down a notch, I agree that no one is perfect. Everyone has a flaw.  A can forgive a lot of shortcomings and bad decisions. But trump's highway to hell list takes the cake. I was no fan of past Republican presidents and I didn't like most of their policies, but I never thought for a minute that any of them would take sides with Russia over our own intelligence or DELIBERATELY try to divide America to serve their own ego. I never once suspected any of them were using the power of the presidency for personal gain (well maybe Nixon). I never seriously thought any of them were racist or bigots. I can't say I trusted any of them, but I didn't really fear for the future of democracy under their leadership. I believe all them read and understood the Constitution and knew how our own government works. I can't say any of that about trump.  If they were as corrupt as trump at least they did a good job hiding it.

 

I have no doubt that Trump is only in it for himself and he has no problem using his 30% base of hard-cord supporters to keep the nation divided and fighting with each other to keep himself in power. He doesn't even TRY to unite this county. How can that be good?  I can't understand why that isn't obvious to everyone.

As for Dershowitz, it's the professional duty of a lawyer to defend his client to the best of his ability.  The presumption of innocence is the foundation of our legal system.   Any truly educated person knows and understands this.

 

Politically speaking, Dershowitz is on record as being a Democrat and having voted for Hillary in 2016.  Wouldn't that put him in your camp, assuming you are old enough to have voted in 2016?
