j_cuevas713
Glass can be replaced and facades changed, either way this is a win for the area. I’m not crazy about it but it’s not necessarily ugly. It’s def interesting to say the least but anything beats an empty plot of land. The Museum District is was the one area left that was sacred and safe from bright, cheap, tacky towers. It doesn’t exactly fill one with confidence about the execution on the remaining elements. I’ve moved toward a hard “no” on the abandonment of Palm St because I have trouble trusting that what would get out there would look anything like what was rendered. 1

Popular Post hindesky
Glaziers are replacing the last damaged section of windows. I saw a worker with a vest, flag and whistle on Fannin St., asked him who he worked for and he said Metro. His job was to flag the light rail train to slow down and for the workers to back off while they worked on the sidewalk right next to the track. Being proactive toward safety is good. I wonder if the developer will install a handrail to keep people from absentmindedly walking on the tracks?
