sevfiv
This hails from Texas City - the clinic moved and it has been for sale for a while. There are lots of neat sites around there - I'll have more soon. more here: http://www.arch-ive.org/5th818texascity.php

NenaE
I agree...nice pics. Curious, what material was used on the striped wall? Was it painted brick? I've never quite seen that look, very unique.
sevfiv
The striped wall is tile - I have a high resolution picture I can post this evening. As for the architect(s) - I've been digging around and will hopefully uncover something..!

NenaE
Wow...thanks for posting the close-up. It's beautiful. Don't recall ever seeing one with so many colors used, together. Looks like a few of the tiny tiles are missing. The bench is a nice design, as well. I hate that many of these '60's designs are not being preserved, just covered up. dbigtex56
Coincidentally (?) Frito-Lay acquired the rights to Ruffles potato chips in 1958 - approximately the same time this building was built.R-R-Ruffles have R-R-Ridges!
