the Foley's implosion had a 500' danger zone around it, so I'm sure this one will have a similar safety zone

cool! The McLendon Triple! I was 15 when we went there in 1980. Urban Cowboy was all the rage... Some kids from Canada, eh, were visiting- they had just gone to Gilley's to ride the bull. We piled into our cars and cruised up Alt 90 to see some movies. Since I was the smallest one, I got shoved into the trunk along with another small dude named Craig and a tall guy named Steve- all to save the 50 cents a head admission charge... LOL We saw Jamie Le Curtis in Prom Night and some other flick... Fun times!

how has that theater lived for 46 years without a fly loft? Seriously? Wow! (no sarcasm intended) it has to be like working in a high school theater.. .you want a backdrop change, you put it on a track system and move it left and right instead of flying it in and out. (i have only been to the Alley once- my minion Blackout borrowed some gear from me to do a show there, and I went in to check on him... they have a nice black box theater, haven't seen the main room yet)

Vargo's On The Lake: Multifamily At 2411 Fondren Rd.
Tumbleweed_Tx replied to houstonfella's topic in Katy and Points West
immediately across the street at Fondren and Woodway is one of the two nice places to live on Fondren (no way! a nice place on Fondren? LIES!), and down woodway from there is an old folks home and an old Farb place. the train wreck sign has been up for a while, so I'm sure it's not some form of protest....- 17 replies
