BLVD Place Mixed-Use: 1700 Post Oak Blvd.
Golyadkin replied to Subdude's topic in Uptown and Galleria Area
On Wednesday I noticed that there were some surveyors at the condo tower site at the corner of S. Post Oak and San Felipe, and along Sky Lark Ln., right in front of where that last remaining house used to stand, there is a variance request sign. I'll be driving by it later today. I'll post exactly what it says when I get home. Also, there are some guys in the middle of the site right now doing something. Can't tell exactly what, but they are the first people I've seen there in months:- 2,416 replies

The important bits I got from that article: "...boasting 22 floors..." "...Phases II and III of the project, which will add a second office tower as well as a hotel..." So this is 22 floors tall, and the site will have two additional towers. I knew about the second tower, and saw hints about a third, but it's nice to see some more concrete confirmation that the full plan is indeed three towers.

So you're the fools who've been plastering the campus with Ron Paul posters taped to the 2nd and 3rd story windows of buildings? Also, here's the article that mentioned the additional parking garage on lot 1A: http://thedailycouga...spaces-by-4000/

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but I read in the Daily Cougar last week that lot 1A (the surface lot across from Moody Tower and next to the first garage) will have a garage built on it that is planned to open either Summer or Fall 2014.

Cougar Place (http://g.co/maps/x3wvs) was demolished over the past few weeks. It's an empty lot now. I haven't found any plans for what they are going to do with the site, but I believe a portion of it along Wheeler is going to be used for the light rail.

And I haven't seen any pictures or posts of it yet, but in the area next to the Quads on the corner of Cullen and Wheeler (this area: http://g.co/maps/jxbac) is cleared and the foundation is laid for a new dining hall: The pictures are from this facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/nameUHdininghall

You think they have enough cranes?

The average attendance while playing at Robertson has been steady at around 17,000. There are quite a few regular fans who will be filling the stands. People who aren't into soccer just won't go in the first place.

Golyadkin replied to lockmat's topic in Uptown and Galleria Area
One tower is fully complete, the other has the tower and the cab up, but not the arm. Total count for the galleria at this point: 2 at this, 2 at BBVA, 1 at 3009 Post Oak, 1 at Brownway, 2 at Millenium Post Oak. Hopefully we'll see ones at High Street, BLVD, and Five Oaks Place before the end of the year. At this point, is the Galleria area the densest area of construction in Texas? I'm certain that it is in Houston.- 67 replies
