  1. Yeah, in Florida. I think they train in Kissimee. They may have changed locations. ----------------- In other news: Astros sign lidge to one year deal http://chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/4474386.html
  2. He could stroke it though. Maybe he didn't live up to the billing, but I thought he was underrated a little bit. He wasn't a star player, but I think he could have fit into this current team quite well. I think a big reason why fans didn't like him is because we paid him so much and he wasn't worthy of it.
  3. Howard is the bigger surprise for me. Everyone wanted to run him out of town and now he's playin big. He's like Maurice Taylor.
  4. And don't forget Kirk Snyder. He may not be an all-star, but he brings depth, athleticism and a finishing ability that will help us even more.
  5. Soccer is weird in that different leagues, countries or whatever play each other in a single tournament. Imagine if the Rockets, Austin Torros and say the Cougars all played each other in one tourny.
  6. Here's the schedule: http://houston.astros.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/s...;m=3&y=2007 I think player positions are pretty much done. There might be some room for change in the OF. Trades of course can be made any time before the trade deadline, so who knows. I don't know if the Astros are done on the free agency side of things. And who knows what Roger is going to do.
  7. I feel like most of the time, players like this are good, but overpaid. Thank goodness it'll only be a minor league contract. But I wouldn't mind if he returned to form and starting hitting bombs over the train in left field again.
  8. What's the point of posting if you're not going to explain yourself? I get the gist of it, but what did you want me to read? Why not add a link to a post in which I should have read. This kind of posting is just annoying.
  9. I saw something unofficial the other day that said something to the affect that he probably won't come back.
  10. Rockets are finishing games with a suicide killer instinct these days. People know Yao is out, hardly care that Bonzi is out, and forget that Kirk Snyder is out. I don't think people realize what we'll actually be like once we have all those pieces back. We're gonna be amazing.
  11. There's a few people who have posted that have said they've seen some activity. I guess just because we don't see beams going up or a news story about it doesn't mean that ground hasn't been broken. I'm not saying it has, I'm just reporting a few facts.
  12. It has the scheduled date for groundbreaking. It's not past tense. I posted an article in a post earlier that said groundbreaking already happened. It's somewhat skeptical, but only because of the wording. I was assuming it was still correct because you would think the source (McGraw-Hill) is reliable.
  13. Josh Turner, uh, what a dissapointment. I liked a couple of his songs that were on the radio and then I read on his website on how he likes to write songs that make you think. I like John Mayer a lot, so I thought that this was country music's Mayer. I got his cd and boy was I wrong. His songs are sooo generic is ridiculous. I always give a cd a chance and listen to the whole thing over and over and it normally ends up rubbing off on me after I really soke it in. His songs were so bad and generic that I couldn't even do that. I think the cd is somewhere on the floor in my house right now. Josh Turner is clique, yuck Like I said before, Brad Paisley is the man in country music
  14. LOL, I didn't even notice. But that's funny. Umm...I haven't heard anything. Maybe I'll email the 610 guys.
  15. I wouldn't mind seeing Garcia, but not Plummer. And you may be right about the coordinator, but I wouldn't take that chance.
  16. I don't think it would look bad if we drafted another D-lineman on the first day. Who cares, ya know? As long as it's not one of the first two rounds.
  17. Is this gonna be a mixed development with retail on the first floor?
  18. The thing is, people blamed Carr's lack of success to the lack of a good running game all year and ironically the running game was pretty good a couple times yet Carr still did horribly. However, there were games when both the passing and running games played well at the same time. Weird.
  19. I support David Carr too, but I'm with the rest of the local media that says he doesn't have 'it'. My wish list for 2007 would be for the Texans to flourish with Carr at the helm, but I don't think it'll happen. It just seems that in order for Carr to succeed, everything around him must go right. Of course that goes back to what you and I have said, basically that football is a team sport, and in a sense, most everything must go right around any QB for them to succeed. And not just a qb, but most things must go right for any of the other 10 players to succeed. And like you, I can't wait to see what Kubiak and Smith do this offseason. They've shown some promise that they can do good things in the draft and with free agents(in-season aquisitions)
  20. I agree. I just don't want it to be Jake Plummer. This is a horrible reason for not wanting him, but I'm just sick and tired of getting their left-overs. I'm all for it if it makes us a better team, but I won't be happy if they keep making these type of decisions until I see us above .500
  21. Man, where is Brad Paisley on that list? He's one of the top singers/song writers out there in general and the best IMO among the new generation of artists (not just singer)
  22. The popular idea circulating in the media is that they are/should get a QB via free agency to seriously compete with David.
