  1. Does anyone here live in those? If not, from what you guys have heard or seen, what's your take on those as far as location, quality, etc?
  2. I was actually wondering what you meant in general. But I guess you kind of explained what an urban element is anyway...retail, entertainment, etc????
  3. Would you mind providing links? I searched in videos and can't find them. Thanks
  4. Can you interpret "an urban element" for me?
  5. Eddie Baur, that's great, ha I still sport one of their shirts.
  6. Gap going out of business? No way! Really???? That would be a shocker to me.
  7. Awesome info. To the best of yours or anyone elses knowledge, how much of the retail space would you say is already spoken for?
  8. oh, my bad. You can never tell w/ some people on here. What movie is it from?
  9. huh? If you're referring to "youth," I didn't spell it "yout." It says youth.
  10. Don't know if someones posted this already, but here's their website: http://www.metropoleliving.com/metropole.html I couldn't find any pics on it OF the building. Just views FROM it.
  11. Actually, yeah. I think it's best to stay away from that word, dont you? Haha, and although it's 'better', it's not exactly what I was talking about, although they could be included. And you know the sad thing (IMO), it's not just "youth" who dress like that.
  12. Is there retail space available across the street from Pavilions on all the different sides? If so, I'm sure those will be gone soon. And if they're occupied already, I'm sure they're gonna benefit greatly soon.
  13. That's kind of uncalled for since that's a play off the real word. Regardless if it's a real term or not. Many non-blacks think that just b/c they dress urban or thuggish that they are criminals. It's also just a fashion for people who are not criminals.
  14. No, I watched it too. I just thought his name was Dino, not Denver, ha.
  15. What I meant when referring to, "those who have the money, let them shop," is those whom he may have thought of as "thugs" b/c of the way they dress, but they really are not-lI say let THEM shop. (Which I didn't mean to put words in his mouth, but I was just trying to make a point, just in case that's what he really thought, that anyone who dresses like a thug, commits thug-type activity.) I don't want actual thugs who create crime there.
  16. Denver? I thought it was Dino, isn't it? You photoshopped that? ha And is tourism a bad thing????
  17. Although the residential would have helped out a lot, I doubt those residences would be the ones anchoring the Pavilions. The Pavilions is almost a "mall." And who goes to the mall every day? And it's not like Houston is a walkable city, so just like every other mall and strip center, it will be no big deal for people to drive there. People will still go after 5pm. And the big plus, downtown is centrally located.
  18. Be careful not to confuse style of dress w/ actual thugs. As long as they don't bring crime, I could care less. Money is what matters, and if they have it, let them shop.
  19. I get what you're saying, but these are also places people want to shop at. Sports fans (fanatic and casual) always want to go to ESPNZone when near one, people love their sneakers especially Nike, and people love their music. Now I'd get down on people asking for chains if they were really weak like an Abercrombie or something. But it's not like these "chains" are in every city. Those unique places are there...plus, maybe they're better suited at places that aren't so "commercialized," like the Pavilions.
  20. I'm interested to see where they place the different major tenants...what tenants would be best closer to the rail? Or does it even matter?
  21. I'm sure someone has pointed this out, but I'm glad that the rail runs just west of it. That's perfect. Does anyone know how close the nearest stop is?
