  1. Do you know if that includes the garage? This doesn't seem like a location for a high end hotel. A 3-star maybe?
  2. I hope so. Time to start searching for those vintage photos! was the address the same?
  3. Awesome! but goodness gracious please tell me there is a beautiful original facade they can return to. Just don't leave it the way it is.
  4. As of May of 2016 the only project listed under development is one in Florida. http://ir.loews.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=102789&p=irol-index (Click on Download Company Overview)
  5. Did they contact you after you revealed semi-insider info on HAIF? ---- Also, they're publicly traded so hopefully we'll get more info before ground breaking.
  6. Maybe. It will at least be at that location. The poster didn't explain it but the address of the owner on HCAD is the same as Loews: http://www.loews.com/contact/
  7. Driving inbound on 59 north this morning, it's apparent that the crown will allow it to stick out just above 95% of the other tall buildings downtown, along with its front row seat on the north side to allow it to stick out like a sore thumb. At least from this side of town.
  8. Any chance this building is for Houston? This article is about HOK moving spaces from the Williams tower to the Phoenix tower. http://www.hok.com/about/news/2016/05/09/hoks-leed-platinum-houston-office-supports-integrated-design-in-high-performance-space/
  9. Based of the BBVA tower brochure they only mention the hotel/multi-family project, not the office project. Y'all think that's just because they don't want to mention a competing project or that this will be the second phase? http://www.bbvacompassplaza.com/pdf/bbva-compass-plaza-brochure.v3.pdf
  10. Some other takeaways from document: "Phase 1 is anticipated to open in 2017" (kinda shocking to me) Phase 2 is two buildings, is anticipated to open in 2018. Also, I hope they only speak of two phases because these are the near term projects. I'm still hoping for more phases later on. I wonder why they don't have to consider those in this study, too.
  11. I'm not so sure how this finished product will look. Up close those green tiles look like they're from Builders Square and don't even look like they were installed that well.
  12. I'm glad this is a legit project moving in the right direction. I also agree with the neighborhood concerns 100%. I see no reason they can't make a great project without closing off a street. Houston needs MORE connectivity, not less.
  13. Do we know if they will be touching up the outside? It could use some.
  14. First, I don't know why we call ourselves the 3rd coast. We're either the first coast or the gulf coast. Secondly, I hope all that green space gets used.
  15. It says they're in the design phase and 50% done with the project per this link http://houstonmidtown.com/projects/
