  1. A demolition permit was pulled yesterday. The property was sold in 2021 to Whitney Management.
  2. Anyone know the architect for this smaller, neighborhood church? I've driven past the church countless of times but never thought about seeing whole designed and built the church.   6. ExxonMobil Pipeline was out this past week. They put out several stake flags, a sign, and marked the concrete with paint. "Must be present before any excavation or construction activities" Looking promising!!
  7. Levit Green wow!! The outdoor amenities are amazing! All of the chairs and tables are colorful. A thin bar countertop with bar stools over looking the lake! This would be a great place to throw a house party. I believe Hines was focusing on employee collaboration and socializing. This would be my favorite seat: Just add a beer and you're good to go!

  9. The escalator going up to the skybridge has been sealed up with drywall. Anyone know why? Is this in anticipation of MD Andersonโ€™s new South of Holcombe campus? I believe the escalators have been out of service for a year. Maybe instead of fixing them, or having the public question, they just sealed them off?

  12. The area once occupied as Pierce Junction is sure taking shape. You have these large scale opportunities nearby: University of Texas property on Holmes Road: 307-acres. NRG Park Mixed-Use: 350-acres. TMC BioPort: 500-acres. There are also several 20 to 50 acre parcels for sale in the TMC area as well.

Does anyone recall this place? Didn't a Mexican restaurant used to be housed in the same lease space of the strip center? Was it Los Tios before they moved to Meyerland on Beechnut? 1977 wasn't too long ago, did anyone personally know Allan Kaplan and family?   16. I was browsing the newspaper The Bellaire Texan dated March 14, 1962 and came across an article that contained the Hodgkins Disease Memorial Research Center located at 7501 South Main Street. Rites Friday For B.P. Lowry Funeral services were held Friday from Pat H. Foley Chapel of the Roses for Brain Pierce Lowry, 33, of 6522 Mobud Drive, who died Wednesday in a Houston Hospital-- The Rev. C. Rodney Sunday officiated at last rites. In lieu of the usual reembraces, the family requested that donations be made to the Hodkins Disease Memorial Research Center, 7501 South Main, Houston. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beverly Lowry of Houston; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis P. Lowry of Malden, MO; daughter, Linda Kay Lowry; son, Bruce Wayne Lowry, both of Houston; brother, Robert Carroll Lowry of Houston.

  20. Bumped to Going Up! I wonder if this can start before the HLSR lease ends? I believe the whole campus is 350-acres. They can build something without disturbing the Rodeo Grounds. Has a master plan even been created yet? Just how early in the project are we?
  21. Great topic. So, in 2023 will TMC contain the tallest (hospital) in the world? Houston Methodist's Centennial Tower is pretty tall. Supposed to be 500 feet+
