Saint Arnold has helped me expand my beer pallet. I was just about the IPAs but now I can appreciate other beer styles such as Bocks, Pislners, Stouts, and Ambers. IPAs are great, but there is much more beer out there. Nothing like a crisp, bubbly, summer Pislner. My picture:

TMC BioPort: 500-Acre Bio Manufacturing Campus
Highrise Tower replied to Urbannizer's topic in Going Up!
For what it's worth, there is a new property marketing flyer listed on Loopnet. Shame what happened to this proposal. Really hoping there is a capital investor to fund this development sometime soon. I know that Houston's life science sector really hasn't gained traction yet. Let's hope it picks up steam soon! https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/700-Holmes-Rd-Houston-TX/28452325/ A select few of the flyer sheets: . .- 160 replies

Drove past a very unique, small, town home complex located at 7909 Knight Road in the Texas Medical Center. Photos I took today.

This residential house is pretty interesting. It's in the middle of a large 100-acre (ish) MD Anderson campus called MD Anderson East Campus. This is one instance where the home owners refuse to sell to the company. There's a thread on HAIF somewhere dedicated the "hold outs." Pictures I took today. All of MD Anderson's vacant land a long Almeda Road.

Welp. They are doing a facade remodel here? I wonder why they just don't demolish the 1950s building? A nurse at St. Luke's told me the original hospital is prone to flooding. Pictures from today. Facade remodel. Front entrance. The original brick is falling off. Old school windows that need a power washing.

Texas Medical Center News & Updates
Highrise Tower replied to Highrise Tower's topic in Texas Medical Center
I've been thinking HAIF can play a game. Really dorky and nerdy but I had the idea. Since the TMC is recognized globally, I wonder if HAIF can spot all 50-state license plates around the Texas Medical Center. In one parking garage today I saw 3 states! It really is amazing how people from all over come here for treatment. Indiana. Georgia. New Jersey. -
UTHealth University Housing At 1885 El Paseo St.
Highrise Tower replied to Highrise Tower's topic in Texas Medical Center
Today I stopped by the UTHealth University Housing located at 1885 El Paseo Street. A little background: https://www.uth.edu/housing/future-residents/ The Phase I property (7900 Cambridge) was built in 1982 and offers first and second floor units in one, two and three bedroom floor plans. The Phase II property (1885 El Paseo built in 2005) and Phase III property (1885 El Paseo built in 2014) All students, staff and faculty of UTHealth, Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and MD Anderson Cancer Center are encouraged to apply for Phase I and II. Phase III is available only to full-time UTHealth students. A boom and a portable toilet on site. Some remodeling going on here.- 1 reply

Anyone have experience with the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic hospital system? I've read a lot of negative feedback lately, but my dermatologist works out of the Memorial clinic. Great doctor, great in-person service, and free parking. The co-pay/billing isn't complicated and the online platform is easy to work with. I used to visit the Tanglewood clinic a lot. Again, free parking and great experience. One advantage of the Tanglewood clinic is you had the ability to do blood and lab work on-site. I thought I remember Baylor College of Medicine requiring me to go get my own lab work done? It was an inconvenience compared to Kelsey-Seybold. https://www.kelsey-seybold.com/
