Not the BIGGEST fan of this building and its design, but I still like it and am happy to see it go up. Now BG Group Place (Main Place), that's a nice building!

Kinda reminds me of Embassy Suites Downtown a bit..
I agree.

One of my concerns regarding these proposed developments adjacent to Discovery Green is the shade cast upon the park. IMO, one of the things that makes Millennium Park in Chicago (a common comparison) so wonderful is that - in the middle of the city - the park is an open greenspace with no shade cast upon it by nearby highrises. I wonder if this development will make Discovery Green less desireable to some people.
With all of the sunshine / heat Houston gets I don't think people will mind a little shade.

29-story tower will rise near the Galleria
A luxury apartment tower is set to break ground early next year just off Post Oak Boulevard, developers said Wednesday.
The project represents the continued progression of BLVD Place, the redevelopment of 21 acres at the southwest corner of Post Oak and San Felipe into an urban-style complex.

Yea you can't forecast this year's temps based on last year's ... last year was insane ... haha ..... I was planning on going to one of the future day games and was looking for seats in the shade. Instead gonna go to a night game ...

The new Embassy Suites Downtown has made an effort to stick to the eco-friendly example set by its neighbor, Discovery Green. Now the commitment to going green will extend to the hotel restaurant. CultureMap has learned that Embassy Suites is in serious discussions on opening a new Ruggles Green as a street-level lunch and dinner restaurant inside the hotel.
New Embassy Suites plans to keep it green — Ruggles Green — downtown

At there last evening for the first time... great food and great service. We got to eat outside overlooking Westheimer which was nice ... the weather was great. Only mishap was my friend found a pretty big bone in his chicken ... the owner or manger came right out to see and make sure we weren't upset which we weren't... he said they were still working out the opening kinks and want to know of any problems we had... everything else was great. I'll definitely be going back.

I think there should be a stupidity tax... tax stupid people who don't know how to read road signs... read road signs and you won't have to worry about being hit by a train... it's that simple! Ugh stupid people.

That's the Wells Fargo building. I can only hope they are trying to pick the perfect color to ruin the nighttime skyline with. Any will do.
Just saw that for the first time driving into work .... all different colors were flashing... I really liked it... they should maybe slow down the colors a bit but I like all of the different colors.
