I'm still holding on to my pettiness. The stone is nice stone. Just would have preferred something better visually facing Market Square.

Agree... there's something about the stone with this building (all of it) that bothers me... it just doesn't seem to go with the rest of the building.  Maybe once it's done and all lit up with people living in it I'll feel different.  Still a very beautiful building and such a great addition to this part of Downtown.  😁

I think that we should all give, even well established restaurants, a little leeway right now. It’s no secret that labor is a major issue.  Sounds like Acadian Coast explained the issue pretty clearly.

Agree... had Sunday brunch a few weeks ago with several friends at the newish Acme Oyster House in Montrose... food was great but service was so slow and we were shocked that on a Sunday when they were obviously busy that they were closing between 3pm and 5pm.  Well after a quick talk with our server we found out why... it was a labor issue... they were short staffed and the cooks were very overworked.  So obviously we understood.

I mean, I guess if you want to use disco green as an example that works, and may actually be a bad comparison, because 5 days out of the week it's pretty ghost-townish during normal business hours.

I walk across Disco Green several times a week during the early afternoon hours (usually between 1pm and 4pm) and there are always people there ... especially now that more and more people are vaccinated and back to pre-covid life.  Of course on weekends it's much more crowded but even during weekdays there are people walking around and kids enjoying the playground and fountains.

I think they are tenants of that building. maybe they were due for resigning the lease, they were about to exercise the option to walk, and the building owners had to offer some TI to keep them in the space?

I think they're the only tenants in that strip center right now. the pandemic hit that specific lot hard.

I walked by today and it looks like they are maybe ... key word "maybe" ... working on some of the other spaces in the strip center.  They had the door of 1 other former place open (this is the 2nd or 3rd time I noticed this... I walk by several times a week going to and from downtown) and they had workers going in and out ... not sure exactly what's going on just something I noticed.

When I drove by today there were workers on the patio of Lucky's Lodge. There was also a plumbing van out front. This is across the street from Lucky's pub. Not sure if this is the proper place to post this but couldn't find a post on Lucky's Lodge.

I live near here and they've been working on the old "Lucky's Lodge" now for weeks... not sure if it's gonna be a new bar or restaurant (or both) but something is definitely going there.
