Ya, the Katy is the most congested freeway in Houston but only carries about 230,000 vehicles per day. The North Freeway is congeseted mainly because of those sprouting Northern communities like the Woodlands, Spring neighborhoods and Conroe. I can see the Eastex Freeway doing the same thing with its booming commuities like Kingwood and Atascocita.

Try Spring for that is closer to Greenspoint, and is around the Woodlands. Kingwood and Atascocita aren't a bad choice, but traveling on FM 1960 to Greenspoint could, IMO, be a complete havoc.

If only it was below-grade. That would have been so nice. Think about it, less traffic noise, planted trees, it would be a nice 6 lane freeway with no feeder and just exits and entrances. I wish the Katy would look like that even with the feeders, having a below-grade Katy Freeway would be great. At least Spur 527 would have good looking columns over overpasses.

I just love sitting in my Metro bus, and watching all of the poor people stuck in traffic. Today I sat down with my Chronicle from my house and read it. Then took a look at all of the suckers in traffic. Just great.

Traffic in Houston is so horrible. Today I got an early start on the road, and left at 4:00pm., and went up Louisiana Street onto Interstate 10. Right when I hit Washington Street it was slow all the way to Highway 6. Then, after Highway 6, there was heavy volume until Mason Road. I just got home at 6:00 pm. Does anyone else have these problems Those people stuck on the Southwest Freeway, I really feel sorry for you today because as of now I am seeing the backup from the Beltway to the Grand Parkway. Horrible.
