  1. The Katy Freeway will be the best freeway ever in Houston, once the construction is complete in 2009.
  2. Everything went great. No runaway bride. The honeymoon was great, too. We didn't like the weather in Houston, though. I heard you guys have been having some tough weather this week.
  3. I just want to tell all of you, that I am getting married in two days, and am very nervous, even right now.
  4. Maybe, Houston will get within a one million margin to DFW, but we will not surpass them. Is Texas scheduled to be bigger than California?
  5. The Katy Freeway in Katy is having ivies, too. They are going to plant live oak treess, and shrubs once the construction is done.
  6. Really, its like a fightt about "our city is better because we have more buildings". Who ever said buildings is what made a city great(though it looks nice).
  7. Houstonsemipro, you are confused. Target next to close its doors? Please!!!
  8. Great Post 2112. Well said. Houston is growing at a faster rate, and Houston's Metro isnt' that far behind. DFW's metro is 5.9 million thanks to its 100,000+ suburbs. Houston's Metro is 5.2 million. Houston has all of these vacant spots that are in its metro, soon to be big master-planned communities. Take a drive down the Grand Parkway south of Westheimer(FM 1093), and see all of the communitites. The most notible being Long Meadow Farms. Even driving down on the freeway section of the Grand Parkway from Highland Knolls/Bay Hill Boulevard, to Westheimer(FM 1093), and you see how much is being developed. It's going to be new houses and communities ALL the way to Fulshear. Seven Meadows is half-way there. A new Katy High School(#6) is going towards Fulshear. My point is that Houston is growing all around and has enough land to do it with out annexing more. I'm not sure about the areas of the East that well. But I know there is a new big community outside of Tx-146 off of the East Freeway feeder. We're growing east to. Before you know it, the Trinity River and I-10 will be the next Lake Houston for home builders. BTW, that bridge needs a makeover.
  9. It is urban all the way to Galveston. To Huntsville, I am not sure of that because there are some deserted spots. Like going to Baytown from Katy. Out of the Beltway, its nothing until you get to Garth Rd.
  10. Dallas, most definetly, is NOT behind San Antonio for sure.
  11. Maybe Houston could be like it is now, and Galveston like a mini-Manhattan. What would that have been like for us. What would the population be. Right now its only about 60,000. Maybe it could have been over 200,000. Maybe even a million, you never know...
  12. Your right. Houston has a problem, but I(we) can't find it. Cleaning up dirty older neighborhoods and refixing the sidewalks would be a good thing. Not everyone of those cities is all clean. There are bad areas and good areas. Take it like the Woodlands, and Third Ward; Cinco Ranch, or Alief.
  13. Not really. Bush already won. Hopefully Kerry will run in 2008. I willvote for him then.
  14. Who do you think will win the election for the next U.S. President. I already voted earlier today. I vote for Bush, the lanes where I went were so long. A 1 1/2 hour wait. I hope you all voted since you are all of age(hopefully). This election has had the most people out voting. Lots of younger people. Mainly because of te Vote or Die campaign made by P. Diddy, Alicia Keys, Russel Simmons, and many other Hip Hop Artists. Also the MTV campaign went well.
  15. This strongly goes with the Next U.S. President thread. Located in Way of Topic.
  16. Seriously, Chicago has been started since the 18th or 19th century. When was Houston started? Chicago has a 200 year, at least, head start on us so cut Houston some slack.
  17. On that list, I listen to: 1. 97.9 The Box 2. Majic 102.1 3. 950 AM 4. Party 104.9 5. 94.5 The Buzz
  18. Your right, 610 at Main Street's trees are beautiful. Can't wait for the outcome in 7 years.
  19. At least the Grand Parkway will be our only forested freeway because of the lack of feeders except for the segment in between Franz Rd.(in Katy), and the Southwest Freeway. Chicago's tree-lined boulevards aren't all that great. They got some cracked up sidewalks and everything over there. At least when I visited earlier this year for a business trip.
