  1. i'll bet ultimately the city would decide that the current pedestrian bridge is "adequate" to serve helner too
  2. i understand however earlier in the yr he was making a similar proposal with the addition of handrails but he didn't under why the rails were used in the example he used and how they provided no advantage. has suggested replaced suspended lights with those mounted on an arm but didn't understand why they were suspended. when you're at the new whole foods, crossing waugh should be fairly easy with crossings at both dallas and damico already. unless you need a breakfast jack in a hurry there's no need for additional crossings there.
  3. if pedestrians are having difficult crossing smaller streets, they should call METROlift. they'd be able to get door to door service.
  4. if you can't handle carrying a few bags while walking, you probably have a few more issues. which streets are you referencing?
  5. great to see everyone. dbig thx for the music.
  6. be on the safe side and bring cash. i had a flashback of this place not taking credit cards. EDIT: just called. they do take credit cards.
  7. we'll look for the christmas tree.
  8. this is a big issue that can't be fixed cheaply. it requires more than just geting flashing redone/gutters installed because water is in the walls now. if your child has asthma, you're just asking for problems.
  9. after a few drinks there will be a festive display
  10. that was probably fuzzy's which was in the parking garage at milam and jefferson. it was owned by a cop.
  11. the facility also has literacy and counseling services.....
  12. go to that intersection...there're are PLENTY that need services.
  13. hence the christmas ads/music/decorations. HARK!
  14. anderson cooper's statement wasn't pc. it was confusing to the blacks but yet others had no problem since their vote was split more evenly?
  15. i wonder how he would explain the asian, latin and white votes being more evenly split?
  16. see yall at lone star then.
  17. with the increased traffic from workers, it was essential to keep traffic moving for restoration efforts. washburn tunnel was closed, etc. you should use the tolls to purchase an alarm clock. get up a little earlier and you can make it to work on time.
  18. yeah i know he didn't support prop 8 but then at the same time says marriage is between a man and a woman.
  19. the way the chron's spinning it, sounds like obama being on the ballot may have been a bad thing for the proposal because blacks voted overwhelming for the ban.
  20. i believe leonard's was owned by one of the weiner's sons who went out on his own. my mom worked there in the 50's and ended up working for leon weiner at weiner's in the 60's at their main office which eventually moved to westview. the leonard's store was at 75th and lawndale on the corner where the old theater is. when leon's son andy took over in the late 90's, he expanded too much and the stores ended up closing
  21. appears that their are about 7000 mail in/overseas votes yet to be counted according to news this morning.
  22. red looks like pat lykos won! 556,111 50.19% lykos 551,857 49.81% bradford 99.43% of precincts in.
