Latitude Med Center: Residential Tower And InterContinental Hotel
swtsig replied to Jax's topic in Texas Medical Center
that would be interesting if true. supposedly BP is pushing for an Intercontinental in the Republic Square development PMRG is putting together. -

Houston Potential Projects That Were Never Built
swtsig replied to Subdude's topic in Houston Neverbuilt

Cheek Neal Coffee Building At 2017 Preston St.
swtsig replied to DrLan34's topic in EaDo, the East End, and East Houston
That group is committed to rehabbing and restoring historic buildings... I just hope they can make a boutique hotel work as I think that is an awesome idea.- 113 replies

Yup this is exactly what houston needs. Agreed with BFS.... This is what needs to happen to the post office site. If they could develop a similar concept on a grander/denser scale AND seamlessly connect it to buffalo bayou park Houston would have a true world class market.

There are significant tenants negotiating for large chunks of space at both 609 and Capitol tower. Distinct possibility nothing comes of it but they're advanced discussions.

i spent a fair amount of time near the convention center and ballpark this weekend (#crushcity) and the sheer volume of construction occurring in that area is astounding. gives austin a run for its money in terms of construction density.

i've mentioned this before but there is another 5-star flag who has partnered up with a premiere developer working on a hotel/residential tower adjacent to ROD. tillman is also courting an upper tier flag although rumor has it another uptown property/developer is courting the same flag so who knows.

NM probably wasn't the only other retailer who threw a fit concerning Brioni.

i've heard Brioni has pulled out. btw if RODII happens as well as the other major hotel/mixed use tower i mentioned earlier we would be looking at some serious height added to this area. the transformation of westcreek in a few short years would be nothing short of remarkable.

Parkside Residences: Multifamily High-Rise At 808 Crawford St.
swtsig replied to largeTEXAS's topic in Downtown
if marlowe has the presales they'll kick off - not worried about that. i was told that TC's tower was moving forward a couple of months ago but we all know how these things go - 40-stories is a big project in a "slowing" market so no one should be shocked if they are waiting it out awhile longer. in addition, almost every project gets delayed in some capacity so again it shouldn't come as even a little surprise here.- 1,224 replies

this is an awesome looking building. a part of me likes that it stands out so much since it's pretty much alone in that area but i think i'd prefer it more in a denser or even just different area. either in uptown near 610 or along allen parkway/memorial. regardless it is a great looking tower.

High-End Hotel With Residential Units Planned For Uptown
swtsig replied to swtsig's topic in Houston Real Estate
Coincedentally enough deed restrictions very recently killed another hotel/res tower in uptown. -
There is a very large, high profile luxury hotel flag kicking tires near westcreek on a mixed use tower but not at the same location as the earlier renderings I don't think. Lots of hotels kicking tires....
