  1. Oh my gosh. There's just so much that's funny about that.
  2. Stop nitpicking, both of you. You knew what I meant. I supposed I could have worded it better. It did look like something out of the Chronicle when you think about it.
  3. One time my friend farted over the speaker at a Randalls store in high school. It was his last day working there so why not.
  4. Not to get off topic, but I'd love to have an accordion and be able to play it well. Don't you think it's gross when men get their underarm hair wet and there are visible clumps of deoderant stuck in there? You know what else is gross, or at least I can't stand it: eating around someone who's drinking a glass of milk. And for some reason I can't eat while looking at Halloween decorations, either, unless it's a cartoon cat or a cartoonish jack-o'-lantern. That get's on my nerve's too. Yesterday I watched an "Alfred Hitcock Presents" episode with Inger Stevens. She commited suicide in real life.
  5. Yes, I want to know why Stevie Fancis isn't playing, too. He's not this season's Bonzi Wells, is he? They're likely going to need him considering how Tracy and Yao are so prone to injury. I hope that doesn't happen, but I'm bracing for it.
  6. I think the glimpse of the person dressed up in a bear costume is really scary for some reason.
  7. I think it's interesting that "Poltergeist" pops up in so many peoples' favorites, but everyone lists a different scene. It's the skeletons in the pool scene, the clown scene, face peeling scene, tree scene, monster in the hall scene. There are so many memorable scenes from that movie. Part 2 has its share as well: Craig T. Nelsen vomiting up the giant worm, the braces scene, the scary old man. That was "IT" and he came out of a book.
  8. The people behind the dome hotel were on the Ken Hoffman show yesterday and they seem to not be backing down from it. They said they don't know of a legitimate reason for the rodeo or Texans having any kind of real say-so in it. I guess we'll see. Until then, screw the Texans and the rodeo.
  9. A scary movie topic on Halloween. How original! For me, it's forever been the scene from "Poltergeist" where the guy pulls his face off. It scared me then and it scares me still, even though it looks so fake now. I always hid my face during this scene when I was little: http://youtube.com/watch?v=9Q8bLghDtko My other one is an unconventional one, because it isn't from a horror film. It's the scene in "Stand By Me" where the boys find the dead kid's body in the woods. There is something about the look of that dead kid that chills me. I will not watch that movie because of that scene alone. I won't even search for a clip of it. Let's hear them.
  10. "Entertainment Tonight" referred to her a "legendary Houston socialite" and former Houston talk show personality. And of course her involvement with congressman Charlie Wilson which is being made into a movie. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joanne_Herring
  11. I'm cold. Really 70 degrees is a tad bit cool. It's beautiful, though.
  12. That's what I was thinking. I don't know anything about him, but I was hoping no one from here would respond to him either on his site or by e-mail. He looks like he stinks.
  13. She's held together pretty well for for a 70+ year-old. They interviewed her about her life and the upcoming movie "Charlie Wilson's War" (Julia Roberts plays her) from her home here. You probably will not be able to find a video online since "E.T.'s" website sucks. So does the show for that matter. I should have posted this in the media section, sorry. I don't know how to move it, but you can if you want.
  14. I've seen some recently too. Put some cat food out for it. They like that.
  15. That's exactly what I call the one in Grapevine. "Redneck Heaven". Ha ha! I've never gone inside the Katy Mills one. Redneck World is pretty neat even though I'm not into fishin' and huntin' and stuff. They also carry an impressive bunch of NASCAR paraphernalia. I do enjoy the shootin' gallery, however.
  16. I reckon I looked at the wrong thing on Google maps, thinking it was Sea Arama, but after looking at that picture it's clearly not. Poor old Sea Arama. Anyway, I was in Galveston the other day and was wondering where it was and if it had been torn down yet. I wonder why Galveston hasn't opened another Sea Arama/Sea World-type park.
  17. Ok, I think I found it. Someone posted some photos on here about a year ago that they took of Sea Arama it stands now and it was so creepy and abandoned looking. Kind of like that place on "Lost" last season, for those who watch. They ought to revive it.
  18. Just curious. Weren't they supposed to raze the land? I know the remainders of the park were standing for a long time.
  19. Pic #5 looks like that cop from "The Sugarland Express".
  20. I didn't say I didn't have one. No really. If you can stand, you can walk, right? I just don't get the point of "riding" one.
