  1. I remember the Cattle Guard well. It was at 2800 Milam. The place was extremely popular for a short time in the time frame you mention.
  2. Is there any indication this will be connected to the tunnel system?
  3. That's fascinating. I never realized that. It would have been behind and to the east of the old Southern Pacific train station.
  4. I remember Rodney's well. It was there through the 1980s.
  5. The Houston First/Partnership building is another. I'm trying to figure this out myself.
  6. We used to go to that location a lot. I still remember that my go-to order there was the Jalapeno Burger.
  7. Remember the North Canal project? It's still included in the new master plan. https://archpaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Plan_Downtown_Perspective_North_Cana If I'm not mistaken the North Canal was first proposed for flood control in the 1930s. You have to wonder what it would take to ever get it going.
  8. Wasn't there another railcar themed restaurant at South Main and OST. I think they briefly had a kind of rumbling effect to simulate trains.
  9. I think Christie's is still there, at Westheimer and Greenridge. They also used to have a location on South Main. The Strawberry Patch was on Westheimer as I recall. Good place.
  10. Any activity on this one?
  11. I understand that given the alteration of the new facade it would be difficult to restore the original, but it seems a bit much to call the existing facade "landmark".
  12. The Pig Stand was one of a kind - a fun place to hang out.
