  1. Authority status also allows Aiports to have restricted rights of passengers walking through it. Since it is not public land, free speach doesn't exist. The Authority status helps more than hurts. The best way to keep tract of HCTRA would be to get a hold of County Commisioner meeting minutes and agenda. HCTRA has to go through them for every final approval. If you get the agenda, you find out when to challenge or debate the issues that concern you.
  2. Kirby through Rice Village will we replaced soon. Work is started on the southern end by Brays Bayou.
  3. The circle is a hot-water heater. The one-bedrooms have a stackable in the bathroom. The larger floorplans have side by sides in a closet near the foyer.
  4. Yes, It's on a deadline. Metros website has a scheduled laid out.
  5. You know, I found out the other day that Lakewood doesn't own the Compaq center. They are leasing it from the city. The original plan was to put Lakewood where the new proposed downtown park is going to be. The city squashed the church's proposal to by the land and bought it. Lakewood entered an agreement with the city for the Compaq Center. So techincally, Lakewood could eventually move out of there.
  6. Touchy, Touchy. So we like our urban areas spread out. They could have looked at a map. Houston isn't that hard to get around. Also, since they're from Chicago, shouldn't they have been using the rail system.
  7. Cool, I've been seeing a lot of them. I think Dodge/Chrysler made a good turn when being bought by Mercedes-Benz. The quality just seemed to go up. Oh, and what's coming and going from my ass is none of your business.
  8. I think you don't see develompent come in that has performed the demographics research. In the city of Houston itself, much of the retail market is already staked out except for the possibilties that downtown has. Houston is seen retail being build next to are added onto existing retail location that work. We have very few brand new ones. The only one I can think of is the new Targe going up on Tayor. Other projects such as Gulfgate and Meyerland build upon existing projects. Even sugarland and the woodlands are building on existing successful establishments.
  9. I may be gay, but I don't want flames coming out by my ass.
  10. The city of Houston does have a tree ordinance the is now in affect for new development. The parking lot much have new trees planted. Just watch the new Targe at I-10 an Taylor.
  11. How do you like the Magnum? Does it have big blind spot? Just wondering. I like the new Chargers to eventhough it has four doors.
  12. ^^^ Good point. It did remind me a little of Universal Studios or Disneyland.
  13. I've guess you haven't seen Wal-Marts in part of upscale areas in Atlanta or Florida. The parking lot is full of trees and the front is not the typical blue.
  14. yeah, It't funny how there are no sign saying it is FM 1093, except the exit on the Loop to says FM 1093
  15. I like it. The car is built like brick, at least they don't look like them anymore. I like the smaller s40's now. In a few years I may swicth to one of those.
  16. That was an option, but I didn't see the need to have it. If they need cleaning, I'll do it at home or on the road a gas station while traveling.
  17. Westheimer is FM 1093 all the way into the Loop. Once you get inside the loop it loses the FM designation.
  18. Don't we have the galleria? We've mention Rice Village. Maybe we haven't built one yet becasue there isn't a need for it.
  19. It Valvoline Synthetic. The Volvo is a 2001 S60 2.4l 5 cylinder. I've been doing the 7500 mile thing for three years. The car has 60,000 miles on it. I've serviced it at all intervals. I haven't had a mechanical problem yet. My vehicle mannual even suggest 7500 miles on synthetic unless you are in a lot of stop and go traffic or in a heavily dusty (desert) area; then it is 3500 miles.
  20. Well, you are in between Westchase and Uptown. That area in between is a no-man's land. It needs some redevelopment. I wouldn't call it an eyesore. Just a little old. And yes, the Internation Wal-Mart on dunvale is a little nasty, and I like Wal-Mart. The only probablem is that you can here every language but english over there.
