GreenStreet: Mixed-Use Development At 1201 Fannin St.
Trae replied to MontroseNeighborhoodCafe's topic in Downtown
Those big TVs can do more than just advertise products and stuff I hope you know. Think about those TV's in Victory Park in Dallas. They show nighttime movies, game highlights (from the American Airlines Center), and when big games are intown (for example the Red River Shootout), they broadcast the game on the screens. -
Since when is a mall a "Town Center?"
Trae replied to sarahiki's topic in General Houston Discussions
Brazos Town Center is just an oversized strip mall with big box retailers. -

^^Trolley? You can do a hell of a lot more with a giant TV than a billboard. -

I really hope it happens. Would be nice. -
I remember that, but your quote doesn't make sense. "It's all my fault unless we lose"?

That was incredibly stupid. They live in this country, this state, and this city, but get upset at that date.

What? That doesn't even make since, because when they won Game 3, he put it all on Landry and Rafer.

You said Jazz sweep. Then when the Rockets won Game 5, you said Jazz in 5. Now that the Rockets won game 5, you are now saying Jazz in 6.

You sure you seeing what I'm seeing? The retail seems to be in pretty good shape along Clay near Fry Road to Mason Road. Fry Road is actually a really strong retail market.

Can't believe KBR would locate near this crap. Needs to be fixed. It is a nice place, but the signs have to go. Those little homebuilder signs, too. I don't mind those big, tall ones though (like in Cinco Ranch). There is a suburb of Fort Worth called "Mansfield, Texas", and in order to take care of those little homebuilder signs, they constructed large signs near major intersections pointing to where the homebuilders are. Much better that way. How much do you think the City of Katy would have to pay in order to have everything west of the Barker Resevoir (South of I-10) in its city limits? How about the areas south of Clay and West of Barker Cypress? I wish all of this was in Katy's city limits. Then none of this signage crap would happen.

But doesn't the organization want to reach to people outside of Texas? Having "Texans" as the name sort of limits that.

The DMN has a much better website than the Chron I think. Nice colors, too: http://www.dallasnews.com/

HAIF, Was there an Austin, TX BBQ chain called Rudy's BBQ located in Houston at 8020 South Main St. in the 1970s? Does anyone know if this location of Rudy's Barbecue was the first in Houston? Any photos of the building? Any matches or other souvenirs? Tell me more HAIF!

The whole TMC Medical Campus is just incredible. A small hospital district became a world class central business district. Hospital after hospital, always growing bigger at a rapid pace.
