  1. They are building one near Conroe, too. The one going to San Antonio is always packed.
  2. How would the light rail expansion go through the dome? It isn't even near any of the new lines.
  3. Just by reading the the older posts in this thread, some people (excluding myself) said near the new theme park. The West Houston location would be alright, but I think a New Caney one would be better. Better airport access, and tourists would already be there for EarthQuest.
  4. I think it is near New Caney. It was rumored to be around there (near the new theme park).
  5. Yeah, I don't see a problem with a dead financial district after 6 PM. There will be that other side of Downtown with a lot of people walking around, shopping, eating out, etc.
  6. Why not let Downtown have some of the action then? Already started with Minute Maid Park, then Toyota Center, etc., etc. Downtown should have more to do. Let there be a financial district Downtown for business people to do their thing.
  7. How is Macy's doing? It is the only department store in the South that is in a CBD.
  8. It sounded like you were having a panic attack. "Please don't tell me this is true? Is it true? please don't tell me. Please". You see?
  9. Stalker...stocker...same thing to me.
  10. What the hell? Nothing else would make fiscal sense other then a sound stage? I think a Convention Center/Hotel (like the Gaylord Texan) would.
  11. First, Mandarin is having financial problems in many cities. Second, this thing wasn't even marketed. Just a rendering someone found on a architect's website.
  12. I don't think Discovery Tower is that big.
  13. Channel2, how the did you find this? Did you just stumble upon the architect's website? Are there any specs for the tower?
  14. Tax revenue for what? Katy City Limits don't stretch this far. It would if it wasn't for Houston's ETJ.
  15. Yeah, and I think Discovery Tower and Six Houston Center are too short for Downtown. They belong somewhere like Greenspoint, or the Energy Corridor. I think Discovery Tower gets the edge though, since it is 500 feet.
  16. Yeah I just thought about that. This tower is pretty damn short for Downtown (if it is around 30 stories).
