  1. ^^The fight is over. Obama won already. Clinton is just dragging it on.
  2. Different than seeing just one man speak.
  3. Wow. I totally missed that part when he said Dr. Dre has no musical talent. Almost choked on my bbqed ribs. *Trae is currently jammin to 'Let Me Ride'*
  4. What is the record for a turnout like this, to see a President (or potential President)?
  5. 75,000 saw Obama today in Portland OR. http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/1028/portlandsi3.png http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/9625/ca...24dd6a14ej0.jpg Obama record: 75,000 in Portland http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/news/polit...n_portland.html Posted May 18, 2008 6:19 PM by Jim Tankersley PORTLAND, Ore. - Some 75,000 people have turned out to see Barack Obama speak along the Portland waterfront, a record for the campaign. The crowd covers the lawn here at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, from the streetside entry gates down to the Willamette River. Portland fire officials estimate 60,000 people are packed inside the park proper and another 10-15,000 are watching outside the gates. Spectators are lining the bridge behind Obama and watching, bikini-clad, from boats on the river. The stump speech is Obama's standard riff - 30 minutes long and counting now, despite the sun beating down on the candidate. He's added a few Oregonian flourishes, drawing big cheers when he said the country can learn from Portland's commitment to mass transit and bicycle lanes. The biggest applause came when he denounced the Iraq war; Oregon is a hotbed of anti-war activism. More at the link.
  6. Wow. I created "Soulja Boy's Effect on Society" as a joke. SB is horrible. That is not rap, and if you think it is, then well, that's you. And I wanted you to make a beat. You make it seem so easy and that it doesn't take any talent to do. Real rap is original. Some beats may not be, but who cares? They take an old sample and revamp it, while putting their own lines and verses to it. Rap isn't the only genre like this.
  7. Most school districts have an entire school dedicated to a vocation. For example, in Katy ISD, we have the Miller Career Center (that is being expanded).
  8. Sure does. It is hard to make a good rap beat from samples. Jeebus makes it sound like it is so easy.
  9. When he said "does anybody make real ____ anymore", he was talking about rap verses, not beats. He was meaning everyone raps about "rims, money, and girls", and nothing new, or different.
  10. Damn, I got one more year. I'm not even sure if I am college material from the stuff I am reading.
  11. Typical stereotype. I agree with you on "rappers" like Soulja Boy, but other real rappers like Nas, Kanye West, Common, etc., add in some really good verses and stories to their songs. You have to have that talent, and I doubt many here do. As for me, I like to write rhymes a lot. What I don't know how to do is make beats. Some rappers try to make beats, and they sound horrible (I have tried, and I never like the sound). People like Kanye, or 9th Wonder make a beat, and it is golden.
  12. Lower class fora? Editor, it is your forum. I don't need to argue with you.
  13. Is this the end of the world? Damn, no one can stop these things?
  14. Huh? This is my first time seeing this thread again. My first time seeing your comment. At every other site I posted this at, there were no problems. HAIF is different I guess, but maybe if I had a "warning" or something (for curse words), then it could stay on.
  15. Some news: More: http://www.hcnonline.com/site/index.cfm?ne...32207&rfi=8
  16. I use to pour water on ants and disrupt their little marching land. The chaos after was classic.
  17. Would like to see some national retailers lineup on Main Street.
