Are you kidding me? This is not New York or San Fran... I guarantee you that a "rich" person in Houston does not and will not ever take public transportation in Houston unless one thing changes. That change would be if the public transportation system was more reliable and FASTER than a private automobile. I have had a place in downtown for 5 years now (3yrs in Humble Tower Lofts, and 2yrs in Commerce Tower) and never once have I stepped foot on a bus, they are unreliable and take forever from what I have read and hear.

Actually they did start out as for sale, but I don't think they had enough people interested so now they are for rent. This happened well before all the harder financial situations happened with the banks and the economy though.

Not really. DG is empty most of the time during the day (other than when kids are out of school or there is an event there).

I see why they are picking a day in the middle of the week and not Saturday. Some people work all week and the only time they would be able to get things done with USPS would be on a Saturday. I don't see why they just don't fire all the "slow poke personnel" and the extra baggage they have sitting at counters not doing anything.

Someone told me that they will mark the tires of vehicles. So all you would have to do is move your vehicle up a little or back a little or rub it off? Does anyone else know how exactly they will be able to tell if you left and came back to that spot as opposed to just staying in the spot for 2 or more hours? Secondly, wouldn't this be considered vandalism

You are indeed correct. Most of my work is with commercial real estate transactions and it has already begun to decline (it actually started declining in the summer).

LOL this is exactly what we do? Are you my brother!!! I remember that each of us boys would have a group of presents from Santa. We would try to get downstairs first to "pick" the best group of toys. But our parents would tell us which group of toys would go to which boy. It was so fun back then! The best stocking present I get is about $100 worth of dollar lottery tickets.... that is a blast!

We open gifts that we have received from everyone (friends and family) on Christmas Eve. Then overnight Santa comes with more gifts (that are not wrapped) that we get in the morning.

Letter I sent to S J Lee...(not that she cares) Ms. Lee, I would like to let you know that I am against the auto bail out, as is the majority of the American population. This country was founded on the basis of capitalism and bailing out the auto industry is anything but. Those companies made bad choices, one being not to invest in alternative fuel means. Instead the majority of these companies actually bought patents and technology from other people and companies to hinder the production of a vehicle that runs on alternative power essentially shooting themselves in the foot. We should not bail them out as it would start a precedent that every other failing company could use to gain government aid. I find it very dishearten when the majority of American's are not for this bailout yet the majority of our government leaders are. This shows just how out of touch the American government is with the people of America. Remember! The people you are suppose to be working for!

I don't get the tie in to Obama's administration. Why would Obama care about this when there are bigger things in the country to worry about at the moment. Even if we didn't have the economy crisis at the moment, I doubt Obama would ever do anything regarding a train going to Galveston.
