  5. Apparently Hoar is the GC and Keystone the concrete contractor. Crawler crane is up and pier drilling equipment is showing up. Five trees have the ok to be removed, 4 are in their property and one between the street and the sidewalk. A neighbor showed up and said X tried to buy the little property behind this filled with junk, it belongs to Mrs Boone and she wouldn't sell it. He said she wants to build a bicycle museum there.

  9. Tower crane is coming down, notice the apparatus at the top to remove or add sections. Saw it while in downtown. Heede tower crane crew is onsite.
  10. Not sure what the problem is with gas station construction. A Shell station on Old Spanish Trail and Fannin has been under construction for well over 2 years. The one on Houston Ave seems to have stalled and zero work done in over 6 months. I wonder if the permits for fuel storage tanks and pumps are just harder to get?
  11. Rt crane to the right is helping build the crawler crane to the left. Guessing the crawler is for drilling pilings.
  12. I live in the Audubon Place historical district, when I first moved here in 2004 we didn't have any townhomes but in the next few years 4 of them were built. All of them had multiple townhomes. Few years later it became a historical district. We have since had one home burn down after Ike and an old empty lot. Two homes were built according to the new historical standards. We have several older apartments and condos that got grandfathered in because they were built in the '60's or '70's. I'm glad they passed it otherwise we would be have had a lot more townhomes built here. The old craftsman homes here are beautiful.
  13. Does Jim Crane own this property? If he does I wonder if it will be for parking or is this part of the planned entertainment renovations around the ballpark.
  14. Asked Houston Public works a question and they finally answered. https://www.engagehouston.org/crawford-to-mt-vernon
