  1. https://www.conteches.com/stormwater-management/treatment/cds The CDS is a swirl concentrator hybrid technology that uses continuous deflective separation – a combination of swirl concentration and indirect screening to screen, separate and trap debris, sediment, and hydrocarbons from stormwater runoff. The indirect screening capability of the system allows for 100% removal of floatables and neutrally buoyant material debris 4.7mm or larger, without binding. CDS retains all captured pollutants, even at high flow rates, and provides easy access for maintenance. CDS is used to meet trash Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requirements, for stormwater quality control, inlet and outlet pollution control, and as pretreatment for filtration, detention/infiltration, bioretention, rainwater harvesting systems, and Low Impact Development designs.
  2. My nephew who now lives in Austin loves P. Terry's Burgers....... "P. Terry's, a beloved burger stand that opened its first location in Austin in 2005, is aiming to come to Houston next year. CEO Todd Coerver says the chain, once named the best in the United States by Southern Living magazine, has targeted two locations in the Houston area, with plans to open in 2024. "Given we are still in the early stages of planning and negotiation, I can’t provide location details or more exact timing since much can change between now and then," Coerver said. "But we are excited to make our way to Houston. It’s a growing market, it’s such a great food town and we’ve countless requests from displaced fans in Houston." https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/article/pterrys-burger-restaurant-houston-17901572.php
  3. "The bar has been raised for green spaces in Houston. Discovery Green, Buffalo Bayou Parks and Memorial Park have all been expanded or improved. Now Hermann Park will soon reveal a $52 million project that includes an innovative play area. Behind a tall fence that runs along Fannin and Cambridge streets, dozens of workers, earth-moving machines and horticulturists are working on the newest improvement to one of Houston’s marquee parks: the 26-acre Hermann Commons at Hermann Park. Work has been underway for a year now, and portions of the project are taking shape, as 12-foot concrete sidewalks have been poured and trees and plants have been put in place at the Fannin entrance across from the Memorial Hermann Professional Building." https://www.houstonchronicle.com/lifestyle/home-design/article/hermann-park-s-52-million-project-17836815.php#photo-23576343 Architect - https://www.marlonblackwell.com
  4. Lumber is being unloaded at the lay down yard across the street. Work has started on the mock up.
  5. Demolition of the buildings on both blocks should be starting soon. All the buildings now have a construction fencing around them except for 1 building. I once talked with the owner who said he didn't sell but was exploring possibly selling it. H&M Plumbing is still on site doing plumbing demo. There were workers on site from the demolition company but didn't see what company it was. This is the one building that supposedly wasn't part of the deal. I just can't see him not selling it. Maybe he wasn't offered enough and is holding out for more.
  6. Too bad there isn't a light rail stop close by. Students at UH and TSU will have to walk to the housing and to the Food Truck Park if they don't have transportation.
  7. Since the author can no longer edit their own post: Edit: - The 4 buildings they don't own are on the southwestern corner.
  8. Elro Pizza + Crudo Chef/owner Terrence Gallivan, a two-time James Beard Award nominee (Charlie Palmer’s Aureole in New York City, The Modern, Gordon Ramsey at the London Hotel, Fiamma and Houston’s Pass and Provision) is opening Elro, a neighborhood pizzeria and crudo bar housed in a vintage bungalow. https://www.papercitymag.com/restaurants/houston-restaurants-new-makiin-pastore-katami/?city=Houston
