  1. Next time you're heading north on Yale or Main, take a turn off into the neighborhood. Its not as nice as you think.
  2. If its going to house up to 24 firefighters per shift plus some administration staff, that's at least 50 parking spaces needed every day at shift change. So where are they all going to park? This design looks like it would take the entire block. I was hoping for a more vertical/urban design. EDIT: Nevermind, I guess this design would only take half the block:
  3. Didn't something happen last September? I can't put my finger on it..
  4. Jeez. Aparently this guy takes 1. himself too seriously, and 2. the game too seriously. Of course notice that he's a local San Fran writer. He's just bitter. Too bad its only a game. All you have to do to bring guys like this down to Earth, is ask him: "If Houston really is the pit you describe it as, then why are thousands of people still moving here every year?"
  5. Wow, that concept picture is mind blowing. Talk about filling in the Uptown sky-line! I'm glad we've got some good guys left in this "tear-down & replace with a strip mall" town.
  6. I was always under the impression that the condo's here were upscale & hard to get. Maybe I was wrong?
  7. Yes, those blues are incredible. The reason I asked about the saturation was because of the road construction picture with all the construction cones, and the next picture with the Warrwick. Either way, those are some damn good pics.
  8. Defensive-Ends don't win games. They might slow down the drive, but they don't win games.
  9. I bet it is. I could just see myself asking my first-date if she wanted to share some "VD" with me!
  10. I was under the impression that the flood washed away all the original reasons why Greenspoint had earned it's moniker of "gunspoint".
  11. It provides the police with more criminals to apprehend, which equals court dates with judges & their staff, which equals court costs & fines.
  12. I don't particularly care, as I still ask for non-smoking. If then I can smell smoke from my non-smoking table, I complain. Also, I don't frequent anywhere that the majority of people will be smoking, and expect to have my non-smoking needs catered. Smoking and public urination are two different things. If we're going to compare the two equally, then I want to file a complaint against all of you whose vehicles are not up to the latest emission standards for violating my right to breath clean(er) air.
  13. zaphod, I'm not trying to call you out, but BayouCityGirl's question further proves my point. West Oaks Mall is weak - weaker than Sharpstown. Everytime I go in there its dead. Even with the renovation & the Alamo Draft House, that place is dying. No one wants to label it as such though, because no one is scared to go there. If the same crowds that shop Sharpstown shopped West Oaks Mall, I have no doubt it would have then made your list.
  14. Sharpstown is the only mall to show that an indoor mall can not only survive, but thrive on independent, small businesses. The only people not shopping there are scared white people.
  15. Are they building out into the parking lot? Also, I've been wondering about the west side of the mall as well. What is up with that vinyl facade by Panera Bread?
