    The CEO fired a lot of upper management. Now he is in the hospital. United still has 17,000 employees in Houston. Things are turning around. The flight attendants surprised me a gave me a free drink from IAH to AUS. The food at the United Club was a full breakfast. As of now Delta is ahead with 77.8% flights on time. United has 72.9%, Southwest 70.1% and American 69.6%. They may not care since they control 80%of the US market.

    It is sad but Southwest had a technology glitch last week when they had to cancel about 200 flights. With United having 5,500 flights a day that is very good. Before Jeff left it was really bad. Just got back from Osaka my connection in SFO arrived early! Got into IAH early.

    Really odd that for this month United on-time performance is 79.5% number 2 just behind Delta. American and Southwest are last. The pilots wanted him out!

    Great for Houston! Two International Airports. Construction on the North Terminal C at IAH is underway. Southwest is a little closer but I need my upgrades. Maybe one day they will have first class.

    I'll back and some walked to CVS. Going to watch the game and Whole Foods I'll take photos then. Lot of activity!

    I live a few blocks from there and walk by just now. Lots dump trucks and tractors removing dirt to start the foundation! Very exciting!

    TMC is larger then DTW Dallas. Texas Children's Hospital is building another 25 floor expansion. Also Methodist and Memorial Herman. They are also doing a huge expansion southward. More than 100,000 people work there.

    That area looks like half the size of the Texas Medical Center. Cool!

    I agree, being a native I have never seen Houston so vibrant. Beautiful parks, bike trails, the best restaurants in the country. I'm so mad because I had to work yesterday. Today Washington Ave. will be closed for Walk Houston. So I will ride my bike everywhere and intake everything! I'm so proud of our city and thanks for the pictures.

    On the Pierce Elevated is the small pods from "Logan's Run" to bypass the traffic!

    The traffic will be a gridlock and Westheimer is a mess with potholes! Watch out Afton Oaks a lot of cars will cut through there.

    I went to El Big Band before the Astros game. We sat on the second floor balcony and was very loud construction noise. There are a lot workers there. Once the bottom floors are done it will rise quickly. The Astros are on a skid.

    Two cranes for a garage? I don't thinks so.... think, they are building this tower.

    On skyscraperpage.com the Houston diagram does show it will be as tall up to the 60th floor of the Chase Tower. What a impact it will make!

    The crown may be very close to the observation deck of the Chase tower.

    They are pulling out of IAH, the last flight is October 23rd. They cannot even fill 46 business class seats due to the oil turbulence.

    So glad he is gone. But he got so much money, kept his Porche. He can fly United first class for life! And will get another $10,000,000. The flights attendants might throw a drink at him. I love United Continental Holdings. Now that the consolidation all the US airlines have the worst on time arrival Southwest is the worst. But Delta, American, United, Southwest don't care anymore. United needs Gordon Bethune again.

    What the hell are they are doing to this building! 609 Main is progressing then this nightmare.

    Off today! Going to ride my bike there and take pictures. It looks incredible.
