I never said Dallas sucks. It is a view from a outsider sorry if the truth hurts. If you don't like it get off HAIF and go back to Dallas Metropolis which that does suck. Meow!

I feel they will never build a 100 floor building in Dallas. Everything is being built in Plano and outlined areas. For some reason Downtown Dallas, there is something wrong. I cannot figure it out and they make it look so beautiful with pictures. Just got back and nothing to do there. I love Dallas but also the Trinity River is awful and they want to build a freeway over it. They should do what Houston did with Buffalo Bayou Park. There is so much potential there. Since the Perot family is so rich. Build parks walk to ability restaurants, bike and trails. The Kinder Foundation made billions but gave it back to the city of Houston. They are now starting a 20 year plan for Memorial Park. The first phase just started. The area will the Cotton Bowl is also has so much potential. I saw that Dallas has the rich north and the poor south. That could be the problem. It is not a divers city people are divided.

I ask why Ross Perot will build a 50-100 floor building. Is his son in the development market? I know Dell bought Perot System Corporation for 3.9 billion. So I will wait when the cranes are up.

I was Downtown last Sunday and there were thousands of people there. There was a huge convention and they were looking for somewhere to eat. Most places closed, but I told them to go to Market Square. Or ride the rail and get off Midtown McGowen station and walk 2 blocks west which there are many restaurants there. Definitely need more restaurants and retail.

Off topic to tired, but what is going on with the Texaco building? Has it been 3 years since the renovation?

500 Crawford: Multifamily At 500 Crawford St.
nativehoustonion replied to lockmat's topic in Downtown
Build it and they will come. At this time my friends from out of town I tell them to stay at the J. W. Marriott. I meet them there for drinks. On the weekends I ride my bike to Niko Niko's. Cannot wait till the Marriott Marquis is built so I can stay there a weekend in the pool. Once there are 7,000 residents Downtown it will spur lots of activity. Remember when Discovery Green was not there? Well, look what happened.- 810 replies

The building behind the Shell Station at Kirby and Southwest Freeway is being torn down. I also remember there was a gym there and Miyako is closed. I did not see a variance sign but will check it out later today.

Revere Park At River Oaks: Condominiums At 2406 Mimosa Dr.
nativehoustonion replied to nativehoustonion's topic in Going Up!
The neighbors are against it because they want to build it 5 feet from the street. They want it 12 feet from the street. But they are just totally against it. -
In Houston we have lots of FFA applications does not mean it will get built. Calm down and eat your turkey. I'll always wait for the cranes then jump around! Meow!
