    What's up with the old Wendys off Westheimer in Montrose? I knew that place would eventually close doors due to the nicer things around it, any idea on plans for the land?

    You kno the economy is strong in Houston when you see this. What's crazy is the economy hasn't been so white hot since the late 70's early 80's. I always wondered when someone would build on that lot.

    I don't see why they would be cancelled, they are a scheduled tenant, plus agreements with Comcast and the city have already been made. This is just a change in ownership if the property, but I don't see where Magic and the other investors would just cancel this some how.

    Drove by today, and I must say that this is an absolute game changer for Houston, plus it compliments West Ave further down Kirby. I was in absolute awe, and trust me when I say, the more these dense mixed use developments get built, the better for Houston. They add so much to an area its unbelievable. With the addition of BLVD Place, Regent Square, and River Oaks District, Houston is going to be a home run urban city with nice organic infill like Rice Village.

    This is great news. Finger will definitely cause other developers to add retail to their developments. Just a giant snowball effect. Slowly but surely downtown is heading in the right direction after many years of city planning. I think once rail on the east end is complete we are going to see more of these mixed-used developments. Whats great is how dense developers are building in our city.

    Wow, 3 projects that will revolutionize Houston: Regent Square, River Oaks District, and BLVD Place. There will be no excuse to not call Houston a walkable city in about 10 years.

    LOL nice. I would've done the same. Not the same Fingers store it used to be. Kind of a shame. I say rebuild Buff Stadium for the Lastros so we can put a real pro team in the JuiceBox. jk jk GO STROS!

    The market is strong in this city. Developers know that the more people they can get to stay in the core of the city, the more it will draw retail. Such a promising development.

    That is the spot you can see from 59. I didn't think they did such a bad job to the building. Slowly but surely this part of midtown is becoming nicer. Plus the development happening on the corner near that that church and those colorful apartments. Midtown is gonna be a nice urban spot.

    Look the point I'm trying to make is that you're not gonna just magically make the homeless problem disappear. I don't understand how you can live in a major "city" and not have to deal with all kinds of people. The way I see it, if you don't like the city, there are plenty of nice suburbs to live. If you think we got it bad then head to NYC where right outside of Wall St. you can spot hundreds of homeless for blocks. And this is the epicenter of wealth in this country. Stop being a bunch of whiney babies.
