-
That model is also missing 10 Waterway.

I agree I would definitely like to see these large swaths of land developed into mixed-use projects like CityCentre.
-
It would have been great if this site was developed into a mixed use development with retail, restaurants, hotels, office and residential by the time the Super Bowl comes to town.
-
So where exactly will this be ?

I believe there were a lot of projects planned for TMC prior to the recession. Hopefully they will come back to life and get built.

I got a scoop on the Menil. Heard that Richmont Square Apartments will be torndown and that this land will be used for the expansion/campus. No word on the Byzantine Chapel however.
If true, that will really make affordable apartments in Montrose even harder to come by.
It has been known for some time that the Richmont apartments would be redeveloped by Menil. There was even a rendering depicting how the property could be redeveloped. I believe the proposal included residences, retail, and exhibit space. The renderings are on the previous page.

Nice rendering.

That is such a prominent sight, a building there would be seen from 45, I-10, Memorial Dr. & Allen Parkway. It would be great if a 50 Story Signature tower was built, instead of a 35 story building. Well hopefully it will have a good design.

Hines is developing a large gated community on 46 acres inside the loop at 6900 Old Katy Rd. The community will consist of 500 single family homes and have a European style.

Really turned out nice.

It looks better in person, always nice to add density to a area.
-
It's a apartment building. I believe there is a thread for it on here somewhere.
-
Is this project not going to move along as fast as expected? It also isn't listed on Central Houston's Development Map.
What project? The land is just for sale.
-
Yes that is the new/current layout. The two blue rectangles and large grey square is the property sold to Apache.
-
Where exactly would this go ?

I wish this project would start. They haven't even fenced off the other block it is still being used as a patking lot.

He is promoting his website. The last residential highrise to go up in downtown Dallas was the Museum tower fiasco and that was a few years back.

Anyone know if they own they vacant lot south of this along Richmond and next to 24 hour fitness?
No, I believe that lot is owned by a company in the Middle East. At one time they planned to build a 80 story building. I believe it is currently on the market for $20-25 million.

Heard via rumor yesterday that the previous attempt to get a Whole Foods here was quashed because TW was too restrictive.
Too restrictive? Why would they be restrictive towards Whole Foods ?

If Simon is ever able to purchase the land where the church stands at the corner of West Alabama & Sage it could expand on that property. It's a pretty large space, the majority of it currently being used for a parking lot. It seems like a pretty logical place for a expansion with it being directly across from most recently built Macy's, they would just need a large department store to anchor the expansion. Like Barney's, Bloomingdales, Bergdorf, or even Belk( I believe they are opening a store in Dallas).

On the topic of other land available in the area, I have heard that the property just north of the Skanska project is currently for sale.
It is for sale that is the Exxon campus that they are selling in anticipation of the consolidation to the new campus.
